Job Description:
- Responsible for setting up China Operations.
- Accountable for local breeding partnerships and import market development.
- Perform market research, due diligence, partner selection, local network establishment, partner startup & partner management.
- Responsible for developing sales and marketing plans to support ’s endeavors in China.
- Create monthly/quarterly financial reports and annual P&L for local breeding partners and import market. Conduct bi-annual and annual review of actual P& L vs. target.
- Establish and maintain structured knowledge and understanding of the lab animal and life science market in China.
- Drive execution of local strategies; work closely with US and European strategic heads.
- Continuously monitor and suggest pricing strategies for locally bred and imported models by tracking sales and customer demand, industry insights, macroeconomic indicators, life sciences industry trends and competitive analysis.
- Provide a roadmap to help partner with its large Eastern customers to drive business development and new sales for various initiatives.
- Recommend other new markets, opportunities, and business models to drive overall revenue growth.
- Assist in penetration into other emerging markets as needed.
Job Responsibility:
- Experience in a wide range of principles and methodology of a specialized professional field. Skill in designing, implementing and coordinating assignments, operations, and/or programs. Experience in making decisions or recommendations significantly developing or changing organizational policies or procedures. Requires supervisory or middle management experience. 5-10 years of relevant experience and/or training.
- Sales and vendor management experience.
- Experience dealing with customers. Strong in-country/regional formal and informal
- Network with current and potential customers that include local biopharmaceuticals, CROs,, biotech companies and academic institutions.
- Experienced in audit procedures and due diligence.
- Highly knowledgeable about local country government regulations and customs laws.
- Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of personal and professional integrity with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
