Social Compliance Auditor

Axstores Far East Ltd (AFE) is Axstores production organization with four offices in Asia; Hong Kong China, Shanghai, New Delhi and Bangladesh. Majority of the private labels are sourced through AFE, but a big part is also manufactured with non-AFE suppliers in Europe and in other Asian countries. Axstores is a value based company with high ambitions and goals within sustainability. Axstores became members of BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) in 2010 and has since then resumed its social compliance procedures and operations, with both BSCI third-party auditing and with internal auditors.

Work description and responsibilities

· Conduct social compliance audits and re-audits including additional environmental questions, in China according to BSCI Code of Conduct and Axstores Compliance Program (cover both Shanghai and Hong Kong office suppliers)

· Work closely with QC teams in Shanghai and Hong Kong China to find synergies between quality control and social compliance working procedures in China

· Work with corrective action procedures with suppliers in China

· Work closely with the merchandising teams in AFE Shanghai and Hong Kong China to optimize the social compliance procedures in China

· Support and develop environmental performance of Axstores suppliers

· Work with supplier improvements and other sustainability projects if requested by head office

· Increase the awareness and knowledge about social compliance at AFE

· The position is full time, based in Shanghai and will require frequent domestic travel in China and occasionally in other Asian countries.

Requirements

· Bachelor degree

· Fluent in written and spoken mandarin Chinese

· Good command of written and spoken English

· Social audit skills; experience from social compliance auditing (SA8000 certificate is preferable)

· Documented environmental knowledge and environmental auditing experience is beneficial

· Experience in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and compliance from a multinational company and a third party auditing company, above 2 years

· Organized and result oriented
