JOB SUMMARY:?We are looking for an ambitious and hands-on production engineer to join a fast paced and growing team in Shenzhen. The role will have responsibility in monitoring, improving and maintaining all production operations on-site at our ODM’s.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Develops, evaluates, coordinates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities and assembly methods in our suppliers manufacturing plant.
? Analyzes and plans work force utilization, production schedules and/or priorities, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Introduces efficient production line methods and initiates, coordinates and directs procedures to increase daily output.
? Confers with suppliers’, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
? Act as first point of contact for production results, problems and improvement efforts.
? Resolve problems. Ensures that production meets planning targets.
? Train ODM’s production team members to enhance efficiency.
? Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
? Daily production/yield and tracker reporting to Beats.
? Identifying risks, making recommendations and delivering engineering solutions.
? Sets up program for reporting weekly inventory records of finished goods and RAW materials.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelor/Engineering degree or higher with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar position in Consumer Electronics in a western company in China.
? Fully bilingual in Chinese Mandarin and English (CET-6). Cantonese is a plus.


? Chinese nationals are preferred (Western candidates with the above education and language skills who are willing to work on a Chinese salary package might apply)
? A high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to process information quickly and in a ?manner that's consistent with existing procedures.
? Self-motivated, independent and confident to take initiative and carry out duties with minimal supervision.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
? Adheres to all requirements for confidentiality of corporate and R&D information.
? Adheres to direction from management on sudden changes in personal schedules and priorities.
? Willingness to stay at ODM factories for a consecutive period of days/weeks.

COMPUTER & EQUIPMENT SKILLS:

? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Mastery of Mac OS and Windows applications.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
