PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Analyze factory Safety and social compliance to local laws and rules established by our brands and local government.
· Primary contact with our existing brands for reporting and compliance updates.
· Exercise independent judgment and take initiative to drive business results.
· Monitor factory compliance and safety practices.
Help factories to improve their compliance status in an honest and transparent way.
· Enter and maintain factory compliance information.
· Submit factory data to supply chain team to rate vendors.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

· BA in HSE, chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Textile, Human Resources or similar field.
· 3+ years recent experience in a large-scale factory environment or international independent social compliance audit firm
· Computer Proficiency including spreadsheets such as Excel, word, PowerPoint
· Must be decisive, confident
· Excellent written and verbal English communication ability with superior people skills
· Must be able to work in a team environment.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES

· 3 years work, industry experience in factory compliance auditing/consulting.
Familiar with Chinese labour, safety and environment laws and national standards,
Certified Safety Engineer would be a plus.
Ability to handle compliance issues independently or as a team member.
· Experience with Development and Operations Planning Process as a team member.
· Team player that has the ability to multi-task and thrives in a fast paced environment.
· Ability to understand organizations strategic direction and translate and execute tactically.
· Ability to locate and analyze data from a variety of sources to ensure that operational decisions are made based upon the most accurate information.
· Computer literate, with good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications and email.
· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to attend to multiple concurrent tasks.
· Commitment to meeting absolute deadlines.
· Ability to take initiative and work independently, with minimal day-to-day supervision.
· Keep leadership chain-of-command informed on all operational activities as required.
· Interpersonal skills suited to dealing courteously and professionally with external business contacts and internal contacts within the organization.
