ABOUT DIRECT HR:
DIRECT HR IS A PREMIUM CHINA-FOCUSED RECRUITMENT FIRM SPECIALIZED IN SUPPORTING LEADING EUROPEAN, AMERICAN AND CHINESE EMPLOYERS WITH THEIR TALENT ACQUISITION IN CHINA.

Our client is an international company in the agriculture field with a long track record of activities in China.
Salary:

Weifang, Shandong Province, China
Travelling:
Will travel frequently within China and sometimes abroad
Recruitment process:
+ Telephone interviews
+ Face-to-face interviews
Responsibilities:
+ Gain solid understanding of existing products and product quality of local company
+ Gain solid understanding of existing products/solutions and product quality of HQ company
+ Gain solid understanding of competitor products
+ Identity, list and communicate faulty, sub-optimal or products with room for improvement
+ Coordinate with European based colleagues in HQ which existing measures, fixes, repairs, improvements can be used to upgrade local companies product or fix their problems
+ Oversight of product improvement for existing local products
+ Improvement of R&D processes
+ Transport existing processes and standards of HQ company, adapt them to local situation if required, implementation and training
+ Training of local R&D team in better solutions, processes and products to be implemented also for current production in local company
+ Work closely with production department to enforce increase in quality
+ Continuous training and updating of existing tools, solutions and products to keep improving local performance
+ Ensure that new standards are understood and implemented by local team, supervise its implementation, report any problems directly and timely
+ Close communication with global R&D manager
+ Ensure close collaboration to HQ R&D team
+ Others tasks as assigned by management
Requirements:
+ Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering
+ Master degree is strongly preferred (Engineering)
+ At least five years of work experience in R&D or a related role, including experience of agricultural machinery industry
+ Knowledge of the Chinese agricultural machinery market, or similar sectors (e.g. construction machinery)
+ Experience in working abroad, best in western Europe is strongly preferred
+ Able to translate between European mindset and Chinese mindset in a proactive and result driven way
+ Strong technical skills are required
+ 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design of off-road vehicles strongly preferred
+ Knowledge of local regulations and business culture
+ Excellent communication skills, particularly in an intercultural context
+ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in international teams
+ Native Chinese speaker with at least good working knowledge of English (both written and spoken)
