Creative Leather developer – emphasis on “creative”
Proactive with fresh ideas, including research into fashion trends and how they translate into new fashion
leather ideas
Ability to develop those ideas to commercial materials that are relevant to Design needs
Responsive to Design requests, quick turnaround
Previous experience developing leather materials in a women’s fashion footwear environment
Ability to make commercial decisions, including involvement in colour and material approvals and resolving
leather technical issues.
Relationships/contacts with Asia based tanneries
Relationships with global tannery chemical companies
Travel to trade fairs in Asia and Europe will be a requirement.
Background must be in development of leather for fashion brands
10-15 years’ experience
