For the role Shoes R&D we are looking for someone who wants to take on a challenge in our production office in Shanghai or in Guangzhou, where the organization works intensively to secure the future expansion of the H&M group. In this role you will deal with contacts and negotiations with the suppliers, with whom you will be securing the quality, price quantity, lead time and flexibility, while ensuring the H&M′s sustainability requirements.
Main responsibilities
PRE-SEASON WORK:
Responsible for pre season developments from Shoeroom - new constructions/lasts/samples.
(Material & components part is handled by CAM material R&D)
Co-ordinate new products/components/trimmings with other Shoes Product R&D’s to avoid double work.
When pre-season settled update merchandising team about new developments.
Securing team understanding about the customer, STUK and seasonal trends.
IN-SEASON WORK:
Material dev. finishing & compositions, trimmings, printing, welt, outsole etc when requested by merchandiser.
Update CAM(material) Shoeroom(constructions/lasts) and other Product R&D’s before development to avoid double work. Can be components/trimmings/material finishes etc.
Focus on quality and stuk for each departments.
Continuously support the team with stuk and creative solutions for good deals.
TRENDS & FASHION
-Customer focused. Know the concept/customer you work for very well.
-Have the knowledge of our existing suppliers capabilities
-Support our shoe suppliers & material suppliers in understanding H&M customer & trends for each department, and help secure STUK and quality.
-Keep every stage in the development process as short as possible.
