Requirements:

The SQE must have a thorough understanding of computers, electronics system and design as well as the manufacturing process, in addition to a comprehensive knowledge of multiple technical disciplines. Requirements include but are not limited to the following:

·4 year Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Degree

·5+ years QA/QC experience in a major electronics or computer assembly factory

·Hands on experience using mil-std-105E and ISO 9002 standards

·Understanding of PC Peripherals, WAN and LAN devices

· Solid PC Skills and the ability to write professional, scientific, statistically based QA/QC and Engineering reports

·Ability to create basic PC system based test beds and test fixtures using common PC system components.

·Ability to develop ongoing management tools, methodologies and measurement guidelines designed for support of company personnel to assist in the primary goals of the company

·Ability to resolve internal company issues in an expedient and efficient manner

·Systematic approach to problem solving, following established procedures per guidelines

·Absolute professionalism and dedication in order to meet customer satisfaction

·Positive attitude, highly motivated and ability to learn quickly

·Demonstrated excellence in both verbal and written English and Mandarin Chinese

·Ability to travel independently.

Duties:

The following will serve as a general guideline for all preliminary responsibilities of the SQE. Note that all reports prepared should be consistently designed, and prominently marked "Confidential".

· Oversee outgoing product and sample inspections, working with both suppliers and USO inspection personnel by providing them inspection procedures and quality standards based on physical characteristics, and statistical measurements to assure all outgoing products and samples from China are at the highest level of compliance with USO and clients requirements.

·Oversee and manage the QA/QC department; personnel and all duties associated with the department.

·Follow and manage all USO Sample and Product Inspection Guidelines, Preshipment Inspection Reports, and Vendor Inspection Terms and Instructions,

· Maintain strong and regular contacts with USO vendors and testing laboratories.

· Prepare Engineering Requirements(ER) to provide to the factory and to use during the outgoing shipment inspection procedure.

· Ability to prepare SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request) forms and follow-up with factories until the corrective and preventative actions for future shipments has been outlined on the forms by the factories.

· To create test procedures, and systems to test outgoing new product samples, verify specifications/features and compliant documents to assure 100% quality satisfaction.

·To be responsible for new product manual/driver verifications, modifications, and assist with the writing of the manuals.

·To assist the Sales or Graphics team and to respond to any Technical Support issues brought up by our customers or the product end users.

· Responsibility to prepare 3 Confidential CD's for all new products supplied to Progressive Enterprises Limited in New Zealand that include a copy of the User Guide and a Product Schematic for Service Repairs as well as a copy of all the EMC and Safety Test Reports, and any Cord or Plug Compliance certificates. Two of the CD's are then forwarded to both Oxford Concepts Limited and to the PEL service center, and the third CD is kept on file at USO.

·To assist the Merchandising team to identify and/or develop new products for USO

·To coordinate with suppliers and USO merchandising team comprehensive product engineering guidelines and auditing supplier quality control system and facilities on an ongoing basis to assure expected standards are maintained.

·Manage each task required by USO in a highly professional and strictly confidential manner.

·Understand the content of EMC requirements with different product categories

·Understand all Safety and Compliance Standards and requirements for our clients different markets

·Use the prudent attitude to inspect and evaluate the PCB with related EMC documents included Test Report, Circuit Diagram, Parts List (BOM), and Block Diagram.

·Contact and negotiate with the vendor(s) to obtain the modified EMC documents and Data Sheets when necessary.

·Contact and negotiate with the vendor(s) for the updated Test Reports or Certificates when necessary.

·Prepare and organize EMC documention after the EMC check is completed.

·Maintain the QC inspection quality with accurate EMC check and OS function test by following the ISO standard.

·Supervise outgoing QC shipment inspections when necessary; inspections may occur on holidays.

·Create the Variance Statement for shipment(s) if the component(s) change does not affect the EMI.

·Ability to hold shipment(s) due to issues including an EMC failure; Iimmediately report the problem to the Merchandising team. Then, wait for further instruction from the Merchandising team.

·Ability to solve and quickly respond to the problem(s) shown in the Evaluation Report(s) from the client.

·Follow company guidelines in a consistent, orderly and logical manner.
