IBM CDL(China Development Lab) GPS (Global Process Services) Development is now looking for a highly motivated technical talent with rich experience in DB2 Database Administration (DBA) area to join us. You will have chances to play to your strength and apply your creative ideas to the world-class solutions and SaaS applications. The objective of GPS Development is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of building solution content - using common components, standard processes and a common platform. The GPS Development team has successfully delivered solutions and SaaS applications in Insurance, Finance, Smarter Commerce, CRM, SCM etc areas.

In GPS Development team, you will have chance to:

- Work on latest technologies and understand new business model

- Work on customer solutions from which you can understand how different IBM software and Insurance/ERP/CRM/SCM products working together to implement customers' requirements

- Work in a fast growing team with smart people

- Work with IBM top experts to learn from them

- Practice solution development process.

Bachelor/Master's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent

--Strong in DB2 RDBMS architecture concepts, design/performance tunning, analytical and troubleshooting skills

-- Solid knowledge of DB2 UDB 8.x or 9.x

-- Ability to learn quickly and mentoring other team members on Data Base field

-- Willing to learn and work with Web Service, WebSphere products

-- Use of problem and change management tools

-- Cluster or HA related working experience is a plus

-- Excellent English Communication skill.

-- At least 2 years' experience in DB2 Administrator

Responsibilities

- The primary task is DB2 Database Administration. The services provided within the DBA are Installation,Database creation/build, Security, Availability, Backup, Recovery Services, Performance Capacity, System Maintenance and Application DBA, etc.

- Communicate with WW stakeholder/customers to perform solution development

- Teamwork with architect, management team, test team and other developers

- Resolve critical technical and non-technical problems to archive the project goal, also improving the development efficiency by adopting new methods in DB2 areas.
