职位描述
Responsibilities:
1. This person will have direct responsibility for Asia Manufacturing for Payless which includes Quality Assurance/Final Inspection, Fit and Country Operations Management. Regional Managers report to this position.
2. Work with the DSVP of Global Sourcing to develop the company's manufacturing strategy then direct, communicate, and execute it effectively across the Asia organization and with factory partners.
3. Collaborate actively with the VP of Costing and VP of Product Development/Commercialization to ensure correct factory allocation, taking into account cost, development ability, lead time and capacity.
4. Engage relationships with the Senior Management team to create an environment of partnership through productive dialogue targeted toward driving our business and proactively managing change to sustain our competitive advantage.
5. Define and manage manufacturing initiatives aimed at improving process, quality, speed to market, and reduction of costs through lean manufacturing where appropriate.
6. Commit to continuous communication with Corporate partners in Payless Sourcing, the Brands, Merchandising Planning & Distribution and key staff areas to ensure across the board ownership of the Manufacturing direction..
7. Collaborate closely with Corporate Finance, and other Staff Functions to obtain partnership in resource investment.
8. Champion the Social Compliance program to ensure only factories that meet our standards are utilized and those that improve are recognized.
9. Effectively coach and develop talent within the Manufacturing organization, ensuring that there is strong talent bench for future positions and that current talent is fully proficient in their roles.
Education and Experience:
A 4 year BSc or BA degree from a reputable University, (MBA preferred.)
A minimum of ten (10) years of increasing responsibility in managing manufacturing functions including Quality and Production management, with at least 5-7 years experience in a senior managerial position.
Strong understanding of footwear production. Accessory experience a plus.
Highly focused and a clear communicator, able to work closely and communicate effectively with suppliers globally.
Strong leadership profile.
Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Effective prioritizing and time management skills.
Ability to build partnerships and direct teams.
Experienced in Manufacturing Management systems.
Ability to work closely across functional areas.
Personal Traits:
Process oriented thinker with well developed commercial understanding of product.
Strong reputation for integrity and ethics.
Collaborative in management style, considered a team player.
Effective problem solver who take the ownership of the role seriously and can make solid decisions based on facts.
