Broad Purpose of the Position:

· To work in accordance with the requirements of Research for the procurement, preparation and distribution of products and ancillary items for use in phase I to IV clinical trials in China.

· Manage the storage of clinical trial products and ancillary items and the distribution to clinical investigator sites throughout China, according to the principles of Good Manufacturing and Distribution Practice. Maintain accountability of stock and the reconciliation of any returned unused and part used trial medication from clinical sites.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

· Act as second checker of all warehouse activities performed by the warehouse technician including receipt, picking, packing, shipping and drug accountability.

· Perform secondary packing and labeling on clinical trial packs according to approved packing instructions.

· Ensure the completion of appropriate narcotic permits for transportation and destruction.

· Arrange for the dispatch of the outgoing shipment via an approved courier.

· Undertake day to day maintenance of study supplies and work with investigators to ensure appropriate supplies are on site and available according to the protocol schedule.

· Undertake randomisation schedules in conjunction with the Data Management and Statistics team allocate randomisation codes to packs and ensure emergency unblinding is generated and made available as necessary. Ensure the study blind is maintained for the duration of the study.

· Work with the supply team to purchase auxiliary items for use in clinical trials.

· Assist to Clinical supplies Manager to establish necessary procedures.

· Verify the work of others as required.

Key Competencies:

· Bachelor degree in pharmaceutical or logistic is preferred

· A good standard of written and spoken English

· Previous experience of the management/support of clinical trials in China

· Previous experience of managing clinical supplies in China (desirable)

· Good understanding of the use of computers

· Good attention to detail
