JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Business Development Manager DEPARTMENT: Sales-Antennas
STATUS: Exempt REPORTING TO: VP, Global Accounts
LOCATION: Beijing, China
Purpose
Build sales funnel by identifying new target customers, developing business relationships, identifying product sales opportunities and development and focus on identifying large potential OEM, system integrators, VARs and end customers for sale of PCTEL antenna and ancillary products in specific vertical markets
Job Functions
Essential
? Builds and nurtures strategic relationships with key prospects, including OEM, system integrators and large end-users.
? Manages key prospect relationships in the assigned territory or vertical markets; is therefore responsible for bringing the resources of PCTEL together to win business.
? Identifies and prioritizes strategic regional prospects, along with management team, and sets regional sales goals and sales handoff program.
? Manages, tracks, assists and reviews leads from trade shows and other sources.
? Attends trade shows, conferences and symposiums as a PCTEL representative.
? Assesses trends, identifies best practices and communicates this information to management team.
? Conducts PCTEL product training for system integrators and OEM prospects
? Submits timely reports of travel activities to target prospects, OEM, system integrators and other regional sales.
? Develops relationships within target companies through cold-calls, site visits and leveraging existing networking relationships.
? Uncovers potential sales opportunities to differentiate PCTEL as a vendor within accounts.
? Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Other Functions
? Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Educational/Training Requirements
? Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on technical, sales management, business or marketing discipline
? Minimum of 5 years related work experience
? Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to work independently
? Advanced skills in MS Office
? Intermediate internet skills
? Advanced verbal and written communication skills in the English language
? Advanced skills interacting cross functionally with various departments especially Product Management & Development
? Advanced skills interacting with customers
Physical Requirements
? Regularly uses a keyboard to interact with computer system
? Regularly sits for extended periods of time
? Regularly proofreads and/or reviews documents
? Regularly communicates verbally and in writing in the English language
? Regularly lifts items over 25 pounds
? Frequently travels to locations other than office
