1．PURPOSE目的

To support Philips Research Shanghai by carrying out research on device-based technologies for skin care and running quality human/consumer studies to test these technologies which offer potential solutions to unmet consumer needs in perspective of addressing beauty-related skin problems and boosting skin health. Additionally, candidate is expected to support Engineering, Regulatory or Marketing needs within required regulatory and scientific framework.

3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES主要工作职责

- Carries out research on principles and mechanisms of device-based technologies for skin care applications as a part of project team and/or project leader and deliver contributions to projects.
-Plans, directs and conducts the research of varying types, including clinical trials, to test the effect of technology options on beauty-related skin problems.
-Develops the methodologies and apply to monitor and analyze the effects of test products or other treatments in clinical trials.
-Maintains and monitors the ethical conduct of research with human participants. Monitoring and reporting adverse events appropriately, and managing participant concerns when necessary.
-Ensures the timely and accurate compilation of all study data, and compile reports for product documentation, and to support regulatory submission and publications.
-You might also develop consumer / human study protocols to include sound scientific procedures, accurate timelines and complete scientific references.
-Strengthens and maintains a network with external academic and industrial groups in the areas of interest to speed up innovation to market.
- Maintains high throughput and work quality at research sites.
- Assists in training people for all clinical research activities.

5.MAJOR CHALLENGES主要挑战

The major challenges for the candidate are to
-Ensure quality data through sound scientific protocols, study execution, study monitoring, site / investigator selection and adherence to all ethic and regulatory requirements
- Manage multiple parallel tasks while maintain ethic guidelines.
- Manage multiple relationships – internal and external to complete tasks successfully
- Attentions to detail

6. JOB REQUIREMENTS岗位要求
a) Education学历: M.Sc. and above
b) Experience工作经验: 2~3 year experience
d) Competency and Skills 能力和技能:

-Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline, especially biological sciences, clinical pharmacology or medicine, is preferred.
-Research experience in the field of human trials with demonstrated track record (e.g. publications in peer-reviewed journals).
-Hands on experimental research in design, execution and data analysis of human clinical trial, and relevant methodology validation and development.
- Demonstrated efficiency with computer software for document preparation, reports, presentations, communication, e-mail, and data management.
- Exposure to skin care technologies, which could include, but not limited to, cosmetics, laser-based therapy, etc, is an advantage.
-Qualification in medical statistics or bio-statistics is a strong plus.
- Passionate, entrepreneurial, a problem-solver, a team player, and result driven.
-Effective communication. Excellent language skills, especially in English.
