JOB SUMMARY
1 Assists the Test Engineering Manager in leading and administrating the Test Engineering organization at a Jabil operation or campus.
2 Supports the operation’s business strategy and development efforts with current and potential customers.
3 Supports the development and implementation of new test technology.
PREREQUISITES
Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent; 7 or more years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry plus 2 years of supervisory experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Lead and administer the Test Engineering Organization at a Jabil Operation
1.1. Recruit, interview and hire personnel for key positions within the organization. Monitor turnover, identify factors for improvement and facilitate improvements.
1.2. Offer professional development opportunities to staff members. Identify and prepare career development plans and assist in setting quarterly goals. Create succession plans for Test Management positions. Provide professional support and direction. 1.3. Establish clear and measurable goals by which to determine individual and team results. Drive individuals to continuously improve in key operational metrics. Solicit feedback from key team members on individual contribution. Evaluate individuals rofessionally and on time. Ensure recognition and rewards are distributed fairly and consistently.
1.4. Schedule forums for the exchange of information and ideas with the organization. Present verbal and written ideas clearly and professionally. Encourage input from the organization.
2. Support the operation’s business strategy
2.1. Know the strategic direction of the operation and implement Test Engineering strategies that contribute to the success of the operation.
2.2. Actively participate in the development of new business by providing technical expertise and quotations when necessary. 2.3. Coordinate the activities of others to keep them focused, especially during critical times. 9.2.4. Identify opportunities for cost reduction.
3. Support the development and implementation of new test technology
3.1. Develop and encourage strong relationships with suppliers that allow early access to new technologies.
3.2. Explore new technology trends in the industry. Encourage the exploration, experimentation, and implementation of new technology by members of the organization.
3.3. Encourage innovation amongst staff.
4. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
4.1. Promote and educate awareness and compliance of policies and standards with staff.
5 Be responsible for provide manpower and finance support to ensure ISO14001 & OHSAS18001 to be implemented.
6 Control work-related incident or accidents , save energy and fresh water , sort waste and reduce waste .
7 Perform safety responsibility to supervise daily safety production and rectify EHS non-conformity.
8 Ensure all production equipment、tools .etc in good condition and avoid sick equipment & tools to be operated.
9 Arrange a designated employee as an EHS coordinator who is responsible for EHS routines in the department or Workcell.
10 Ensure employees to attend three-level EHS training ( plant-level , Dept or Workcell-level and position –level ).
11 Be responsible for equipping operators with personal protective equipment(Abbr.PPE), and train operator how to wear PPE. 12 Be responsible for managing suppliers and vendors’ EHS activities and ensure suppliers and vendors meet our plant EHS requirement.
13 Establish & keep record for EHS operation . 1
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1 Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent; 7 or more years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry plus 2 years of supervisory experience.
2 Knowledge of various levels of testing (ICT, Functional, ESS, System Level) and of the entire process flow for PCB integration and System Integration.
3 Knowledge of electronics hardware (Computers, Networking, Optics, RF, Power, DSP) and computer software (Assembly, C, LabWindows/CVI, LabView, Database).
4 Candidate will possess strong communication skills, leadership, business analysis, process development, administration, and change management.
5 Ability to work and travel based on specific job requirements.
