SUMMARY OVERVIEW

Develop, implement, measure and manage a Global Supplier Strategy/Relationship that fully meets the supply chain needs of our Customer, JabilBusiness Sectors, Business Units and Corporation (i.e. supplier strategies, supply base development, Global infrastructure, price management etc.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? Develop, implement and measure a Global AMS Supplier Strategy and Business plan that fully meets the needs of our Customer, Jabil Business Sectors, BU and Corporation (i.e. Supplier strategies, supply base development, Global infrastructure, price management etc.)
? Manage all aspects of the relationship between Jabil and the Supplier to ensure that product is delivered as required at the optimum cost to satisfy on time delivery to the customer.
? Support the BU’s in all supplier related issues such as delivery problems, XS mitigation, quality issues etc
? Ensure that Best Practice is utilized
? Establish a good relationship throughout among all internal stake holders
? Develop and implement a formal supplier meeting structure and performance management cadence
? Demonstrate expertise in assigned suppliers and fully competent in all aspects of supply chain.
? Manage the Supplier (to same or better) to a KPI that is in alignment with terms and conditions that Jabil inherits from the customer.
? Clearly understands and whenever possible negotiates the contractual terms for each Supplier.
? Ability to negotiate and commercially savvy in negotiating contracts.
? Escalate internally or with the customer when additional support is needed
? Develop effective relationships with the Management of the suppliers to ensure that the Management is fully involved and committed to service Jabil as customer.
? Develop effective relationships with the Customer’s Supply Chain and Sourcinmg Management to ensure that they are fully involved and/or informed of the performance. issues, improvement actions etc, of the customer AVL supply Chain.
? Develop effective relationships with Business Unit Management to ensure that Supply Chain Management is fully involved with new business opportunities to understand potential additional business – increased leverage - for assigned Suppliers.
? Lead the discussions/negotiations with the supplier and the supplier responsible from the Customer organization, on procedures, T&C’s etc
? Manage all aspects of the relationship between Jabil and the Supplier to ensure that product is delivered as required at the optimum cost to satisfy on time delivery to the customer.
? Develop the supply base to exceed the goals and objectives of Jabil and meet or exceed Jabil’s supplier expectations.
? Ensure the supply base adheres to Jabil standards of Corporate Social Responsibilities including but not limited to Environmental, Ethical, Legislative, and Regulatory requirements
? Escalation window for all su(pplier related issues internal as well as external stake holders
? Authority to drive operational improvements in cooperation with the BU towards the Supplier org. to improve the relationship, reduce the workload, improve the turn-around time, reduce lead-times and cost with the Supplier.
? Be a leader in ensuring that Jabil maximizes our purchase leverage for the best total cost of ownership
? Market Jabil’s Supply Chain Management expertise both internally and externally
? Offer new, innovative, entrepreneurial ideas, practices and processes that drive continuous improvement to Jabil’s supply chain goals and objectives
? Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority.
? Get down in the trenches to rehabilitate troubled suppliers. Foster a “back to basics” mentality during these times. Lead by example; “Walk the talk.”
? Establish new measurement systems where appropriate.
? Ensure the efficient and timely exchange of knowledge and information within the Jabil Corporation to ensure best practices are shared throughout the Jabil organization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

? In depth knowledge of assigned commodity(s) both technical and commercial
? Contract management and negotiations (Purchase Agreement, Inventory management initiatives etc…)
? Basic finance (understand and evaluate a Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow statement)
? Understanding of MRP and Aftermarket forecasting methods.
? Know the supply base management teams of assigned commodity(s)
? Cost to manufacture commodity(s) assigned
? Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
? Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
? Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
? Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
? Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
? Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
? Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
? Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
? Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
? Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

? Bachelor’s degree
? Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Supply Chain Management or other relevant discipline preferred
? Minimum of five (5) years experience in Supply Chain/Materials Management experience in a high volume electronics manufacturing environment.
? Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
? Language Requirements : English, Chinese
