ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
? Manage translation for all communications and Store Operations translation projects.
? Use high language standards to ensure accuracy of content while conveying equivalent meaning, spirit and look of original documents
? Create and maintain translation terminology glossary to help standardize terminology usage
? Manage glossaries to ensure brand appropriate language is consistently used in all written documents
? Proof outsourced material and effectively manage third party translation vendors including individual freelancers
? Build strong relationships with all levels of field organization in China to continually improve translations and communication for the field
? Manage information and have the ability to think quickly and make good business decisions under very tight deadlines.
? Ensure stakeholder business objectives are met
? Plan future translation needs with business partners
? Participate in special projects, as required
? Create, translate and post messages on behalf of Store Operations.
? Perform the duties necessary to update store Focus and Portal as needed by communications department.
? Post relevant reports and documents into Portal
? Think creatively and focus on continuous improvement as it pertains to communication tools, communication and service levels to the organization.
? Share skills and experiences with other team members to enhance team-based learning opportunities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Knowledge, skills & abilities
? Ability to use translation strategies and methods
? Completely fluent in oral and written Mandarin (Simplified and Traditional) & English
? Strong knowledge of language specificities of China
? Grammar, document structuring, and editing expertise
? Strong knowledge of translation software and databases
? Ability to analyze, prioritize and multi-task
? Knowledge of retail terminology
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
? Able to work independently and maintain partnerships cross-functionally and cross-divisionally, with senior leaders and business partners, to achieve objectives and deliver on deadlines.
? Ability to support business partners in meeting translation deadlines to support communication plans.
? Strong service mindset with the ability to provide a high level of service to internal and external customers.
? Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing as required.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe preferred.
? Flexibility to manage competing priorities and shift focus as determined by changing needs of the business.
? Ability to deal with ambiguous situations and act quickly and decisively.
? Ability to work under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines


2. Minimum educational level
? University Degree and/or translation certification

3. Minimum experience
? Minimum 5 years of experience in Translation and Revision
? Retail experience a plus
? Proven ability to manage a high volume of translation

4. Physical Requirements
? Based in Shanghai
? Travel may be required
