Task and responsibility

1. Vehicle Specification Research

1.1 Create a Vehicle Database to which OE spare part data is linked by extracting and logging vehicle specification from various sources such as:

Vehicle Manufacturer Press Releases

Vehicle Manufacturer Data Sheets/ Brochures

Car Magazines

1.2 The vehicle specific data to be recorded is:

Vehicle Manufacturer Name

Vehicle Model (incl Model Code)

Trim Level

Engine Size

kW/ BHP

Date of Production

Vehicle Specification dictating a change in spare parts on the same vehicle (such as ABS, Automatic Transmission, Four Wheel Drive).

2. Extract OE references from Vehicle Manufacturer Microfiches/ CD ROMs etc.

2.1 OE References are to be extracted for all Shock absorber products.

2.2 The spare part OE data is to be extracted and linked to the Vehicle Specification already recorded using the Vehicle Manufacturer OE data.

2.3 The corresponding vehicles and spare part data is to be provided either in Excel format or input directly

into the PMD database (to be defined). Product Managers will then decide whether the part will be included in the range of development or not, based on the product policy.

2.4 Product Service Specialist is also required to record part number supersession carried out by the VMs.

3. Collect competitor's catalogue and implement cross reference by OE number or product drawing.Record data into excel file or input directly into PMD database.

4. Collect product images and dimension information from Technical engineers, then to process and update to TRW global application database.

5. Independently manage paper catalogue project according to AUBs (to be defined) requirement at least once a year.

6. Provide application enquiry support to main TRW customers.

7. Work closely with marketing product manager to align coverage with marketing plans.

8. Others tasks assigned by supervisor.

Educational background

College degree or above.

Knowledge and experience

Experience 3-4 years in related fields.

Good knowledge of vehicle parc.

Good knowledge of operating computer programs and an understanding of databases.

Good spoken and written English & Chinese
