Regional Sales Manager

I. Prerequisites:
?At least 5 years of sales/marketing leadership experience in strategic sales/marketing balancing long term sales strategy with day to day operations.
?Strong business acumen.
?Successful experience working within a regional sales operation.
?Successful history of working within a matrix organization within a globally complex operation.
?Consistently exceed sales goals.
?Team oriented.
?Excellent initiative and self motivation.
?Demonstrated ability to effectively maneuver through complex situations.
?Creative problem solver.
?Written and oral fluency in English
?Generally up to 60% travel required.

II. Preferred Experience / Qualifications:
?Industrial B to B, value added sales and marketing.
?Emerging technology growth and experience.
?Knowledge of Glass and/or Chemical Products.


III. Responsibilities
?Directly responsible for the volume, revenue, sales, commercial marketing, and contracting results for Saflex Photovoltaic products in the assigned region.
?Indirectly responsible for the profitability and technical service for Saflex Photovoltaic products in the assigned region.
?Identify and communicate industry and producer trends that are relevant to the North American PV business - with respect to engineering/design, new technology and sustainability
?Identify and communicate regional trends in Photovoltaic needs and buying behavior of Photovoltaic module makers
?Identify underlying macro-economic assumptions and competitive landscapes relevant to Photovoltaic in North America
?Ensure strong multi-level customer relationships. Prepare and negotiate contracts that are beneficial and align to the business strategy.
?Implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve market shares and the optimum product mix in the assigned region that are defined in the Saflex? strategic and tactical plans.
?Ensure organization and staffing to provide a level of technical support to the market that is consistent with our value proposition.
?Develop and maintain key customer relationships.
?Develop recommendations for Saflex performance solutions with applications in Photovoltaic systems.
?Initiate and lead sales and business projects in the assigned region, including sales budgeting and customer contract negotiations. Participate in pricing and cost to serve opportunity.
?Accountable for the safety of him/herself and others.
?Create new sales channels and lead potential strategic partnerships to continue growing the business in the region year on year.
?Develop and maintain positive liaisons with governments, industry and external contacts.
?Manage budget and sales activities to meet business plan objectives.
?Provide weekly / monthly / annual reporting (including sales funnel, forecasting, SG&A, working capital) as required to inform management of on going activity within the region.
?Maintain accounts receivables in compliance with objectives.
?Maintain high level of product and market knowledge; demonstrate industry knowledge keeping abreast of competition, competitive issues and products.
?Attend and participate in sales meetings, segment team meetings, product seminars and trade shows.
?Demonstrate ability to upsell and sell additional products/services into existing clients.
?Develop, align and execute territory / region sales / business plans with overall business strategy.
