Sourcing Manager, Global Raw Materials

Responsibilities
· Integrating, understanding and anticipating the wants and needs of our internal customers.
· Strategic and tactical sourcing of raw materials at best cost position and required customer service levels for Heterogeneous vinyl plant
· Lead purchasing activities for Heterogeneous vinyl plant
· Implement purchasing standards guided by Senior Equipment and Raw Materials Manager.
· Set raw material standards annually and on new material specifications.
· Establish appropriate controls to monitor key quality characteristics, predict and detect issues, analyze root cause for issues, and take corrective actions as appropriate.
· Forecasting of material cost and identification of economic trends that impact material prices.
· Provide consultation to internal customers on suppliers and market conditions and their impact on our businesses.
· Use the Supplier Excellence Process (SEP) as the primary tool for supplier identification, management, and improvement.
· Identify key suppliers. Pro-actively monitor their health, performance (quality, cost, on-time delivery, etc.), significant events, and the relationship.
· Identification and development of (alternative) suppliers.
· Negotiate price, terms and conditions for raw material from domestic and foreign suppliers and consultation from domestic and foreign suppliers.
· Insuring suppliers meet Company's environmental and sustainability requirements.
· Initiate and execute raw materials cost improvement projects.
Qualifications
· At least 5 years of progressive raw materials sourcing and procurement experience. 6 to 8 years would be ideal.
· Bachelor's degree in relevant field from an accredited university.
· Proficient in Mandarin and English.
· Previous experience of at least 3 years with a foreign multinational corporation based in China.
· Proven track record of success in cost reduction and productivity improvement using innovative approaches to Supply Chain Management.
· Expertise in supplier selection, supplier management and a track record of success in cost reductions and supplier quality management.
· Strong Project Management skills.
· Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
· Proven hands-on experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· High degree of integrity.
· Collaborative team work style.
