Sr. Electrical Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work with or lead the project teams to provide electrical design standard and develop electrical drawings and documents in various engineering projects.
Lead or manage electrical activities in various engineering projects (include electrical system design, electrical equipments selection, purchasing, etc.)
Man-hour estimate preparation.
Technical presentation and clarification to international customers
Technical support to electrical team and procurement team.
Hold co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings with Vendors of major equipment as required.
Carry out the following functions relative to Vendor documentation:
-Review document requirements and issue dates for major equipment with Vendors at the pre-order meeting.
-Distribute Supplier documentation to the various Engineering and Drawing Office Groups and co-ordinate their comments. Prepare consolidated comments and return these to the Supplier.
-Correspond with the Vendor on technical matters and ensure that action is taken where necessary.
Review relevant contract design work and in particular:
-Engineering Flow Diagrams with reference to assigned equipment.
-Piping Layouts and Models with reference to assigned equipment.
Advise the Principle Electrical Engineer of:
-Any major slippages and their causes and proposed corrective action.
-All policy matters, major technical problems and unresolved differences with other Groups.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
At least 10 years experience in the design and supervision of electrical engineering works for petrochemical and industrial projects
·Rich knowledge in power system design and calculation, explosion proof type and area classification
·Good command of English speaking and writing
· Familiar with AutoCAD or equivalent for electrical design
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
·Bachelor degree or above in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
OTHER:
Be will to be assigned to domestic and overseas project. Registered Electrcial Engineer is preferred.
