Position: IT Manager Organization Unit: CHC
Summary of Position:
The objective of the post is to effectively manage the IT operations in Asia. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of market standard IT management as well as IT applications and infrastructure technologies that can help accomplish this purpose optimally. Also a demonstrated ability to keep their knowledge current is required.
l Overall responsibility for the IT functions in the company.
l Directly manage a team of IT professionals. (helpdesk support, data center admin, &application support)
l Working closely in tandem with the corporate IT functions so as to ensure a high level of quality daily services to the business end user community and ensure of company IT standard.
l Primary responsibility is to the Business Management to support their business needs.
l Be a key advisor to senior management on the deployment of IT functions to meet business requirements.
l To be a thought leader in how to apply and enable the use of key technologies to enhance and forward the strategies of the company.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
l Managing IT infrastructure operations and balance technical and operational needs with internal and external resources.
l IT infrastructure management and support covering network, PBX, server, vendor management and business applications. Regional data center management. To ensure maximum availability, serviceability, efficiency and effectiveness of regional data center services.
l Assist with capacity planning activities for infrastructure components in a proactive fashion to ensure system performance is maintained and upgrades are anticipated well in advance to allow for correct resource planning to be applied and to ensure service availability.
l Manage and maintain Global and Local standards and policies. Manage the data security of all computer systems.
l Management of department overheads and capital expenses budget.
l Managing and developing department team members at a various level.
l Ensuring customer satisfaction through open communication and service level improvement.
l Managing projects ahead of or on schedule and within budget.
l Perform leadership and coordination functions (PMO) in the deployment of new or enhanced applications develop, execute and continually refine application maintenance and incremental development plans.
l Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure optimal IT products and services for the business.
KEY COMPETENCIES
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
l Education Background: Bachelor degree or above in computer or equivalent. Professional certification such as ITIL is advantageous.
l Years of working experience: More than 7 years IT related experience with at least 3 years solid background of in a team management role.
l Familiar with business applications (HR, CRM, Process..), LAN/WAN technologies, networking, telephony, desktop support, IT security & project management.
l Excellent knowledge of Microsoft back office systems such as Exchange, Windows 2003/2008, and SQL and Cisco related technologies. In depth understanding of Microsoft server technology including Active Directory. Working knowledge of virtualization technologies and proficiency with VMware products is preferred.
l Aware of industry best IT practices. Self motivator that is focused on continuous improvement and very hands-on attitude.
l Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Collaborative and results oriented.
l Strong English communication skill is a must. Strong business analysis (Processes, organization and systems) Skills and experience.
l Must be motivated and proactive with a strong customer and team focus.
l Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Ability to take initiative, work flexibly, and adhere to priorities with minimal direct supervision.
l Successful Team member - Supports and works effectively with others, internally and externally, to achieve common goals and objectives. Using appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help with the completion of team goals.
