Sourcing Manager – Indirect

Job Output:
This position will be responsible for all Armstrong China indirect sourcing related affairs, including MRO; transportation & warehouse; service.
Key Process (Ownership/Participation):
? Work with procurement professionals to develop commodity strategies and strategic procurement plans for individual projects and key transactions.
? Negotiate price, terms and conditions, for MRO and services to support Armstrong China’s cost reduction initiatives.
? Provide consultation to all internal customers on suppliers and market conditions and their impact on our businesses.
? Use the supplier management system as the primary tool for supplier identification, management, and improvement.
? Coordinate activities and provide back up for the other procurement professionals to ensure customer satisfaction for all day to day procurement requirements.
? Manage the procurement requirements for the plant location Fleet.
? Provide procurement expertise and training as required.
? Source and develop suppliers for MRO, transportation & warehouse; and service sourcing for all busniess unites in Armstrong China. Including Armstrong China office and all manufactures in China.
? Implement and optimize indirect sourcing procedure.
? People management – Supervise the indirect procurement team and improve the whole team’s competence with his/her management skill.
Organizational Relationships:
? Reports to Senior Plant Sourcing Manager
? Team members : 5
Key Customers and Suppliers:
Internal
All departments in ACIC, ABPS/ABPW/AAFC production and maintenance team, logistic team.
External
MRO; transportation & warehouse; and service suppliers
Measures of Effectiveness:
? Monthly purchasing variance;
? Cost reduction projects;
? Supplier measurement results;
? Customs satisfaction.
Education & Work Experience:
? Bachelor's degree (technical/logistic or related field preferred)
? At least 5 years sourcing experience in multinational companies
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
? Good command of negotiation and communication skills.
? Be able to work independently.
? Good time management skills
? Leadership skills
? Good analytical skills (identify, analyze and resolve problems).
? Good command of English,both spoken and written
? Good command of Microsoft Office software.
? Integrity, innovation, work ethic and ambition to grow with the company.
