Our client is a global leading developer and producer of fork lift trucks.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
For its new office representation in Qingdao, our client is currently looking for a Sales Manager for the Shandong region with valuable experience in leading, managing and training a sales team and with strong practical knowledge of direct sales to major multinational corporations as well as local companies.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities

  • Realizes all items from the sales strategy and contributes to a sustainable success
  • Improves the reputation of the brand
  • Builds and develops a strong sales team to realize the sales targets in defined Sales area
  • Executes and improves sales management process to increase sales performance
  • Closely cooperate with the other business fields in his/her region to benefit customers

Leadership Tasks

  • The Sales Manager is responsible for the personnel management of his sales team. Through his behavior, his decisions, and his information policy he ensures the motivation of his team as well as an innovative and result-oriented environment for the employees. The information to his employees is direct, regular, and prompt.
  • He regularly conducts feedback talks, sets annual as well as short-term targets, and takes care of their implementation and control.
  • He is making sure that the structure in his area is healthy and enough junior sales are in place.
  • He ensures to coach and control his team according to their experience, knowledge, and self-drive.

Operational Tasks

  • He supports the regional director in the annual planning (units, turnover, expenses, profit, market share and awareness) and splits the agreed annual plan to the sales engineers
  • He supports the local rental business in the planning process
  • During the year he ensures the achievement of sales targets as defined in the annual planning by relevant measures. He permanently analyses plan fulfillment and immediately drives counter measures where necessary
  • He is responsible to ensure company values and measures in his area
  • He supports and promotes new product launches
  • He defines focus programs and concrete tasks for each sales engineer in his sales area
  • He makes sure to promote stock sales within the scope of his annual targets
  • He supports the Regional Director when conducting local advertising measures, exhibitions, or trade shows
  • He is responsible for the development, instruction, and control of local sales measures such as acquisitions and promotion for all products focusing on new and used truck sales, rentals, and leases
  • He is responsible to promote and support all business fields in his area including after sales, logistic systems, and short-term rental
  • Together with his staff he maintains the close contact to customers and steers the acquisition and care of customers targeting strategic customer groups
  • He is responsible to share information and communicate in details with the regional key account manager to provide optimal service to key accounts
  • He ensures the compliance with the price and condition framework given to him by the regional director
  • He ensures the correct and proper use of IT systems and tools provided by the company (f.ex. proper input of customer data, use of quotation tools…)
  • He observes the market and informs his superiors regularly about business, market and competitor activities



POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • University Graduate
  • min. 5 working years and 2 years sales management experience
    Familiar with direct sales organization and mechanical industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent strategic and systematic thinking
  • Good command of English (in written and spoken) preferable
