Report to: Market Development Director
Strategy
?Build the business development plan for the Focus Market market, including plans for growth at existing and new accounts.
?Joint development of business development plan;
?Interaction with Technical, Sales, Manufacturing, Human Resources, and Finance Managers.
Business Development
?Support the Protective & Marine Sales organization at target accounts through collaborative selling and pricing activities;
?Drive specification and approval of company products;
?Coordinate the activities of the Business Development/Sales Representatives, as available, in the execution of the marketing strategy;
?Maintain direct contact, and support account management, with key customers in the Focus Market market.
·Provide pricing and preformed guidance;
·Support Sales effort through cooperative selling activities;
·Support development of proposals and presentations;
·Drive specification of products;
·Coordinate the activities of the Business Development Representatives, as appropriate
Products
?Support the development of products through new product specification and development, in collaboration with Sales and Technical;
?Support customer trial and adoption of products.
·Event (trade show) support;
·Deliver market and product training;
·Sales tools, collateral, and website support.
Communications
?Support the creation of effective sales and marketing tools, collateral, and events.
Leadership
?Advance the overall Marketing Team and business strategy through effective talent management and development of Business Development Representatives and/or Sales
·Talent management and succession planning;
·Internal evangelism;
·Tracking and reporting.
Representatives;
?Track and report Focus Market-based business development results and activities.
l Integrating the Focus Market tactics with Sales and Technical strategy.
