Responsibility and Requirements for the Finance Director
The Financial Director supports the Asia Finance Director and the Global Supply Chain Director in delivering financial and commercial advice. The primary focus of this role in the short to medium term is working on and analyzing profitability within the business with a view of undertaking projects which deliver value through improved efficiency, effectiveness and profitability.
Primary Accountabilities
1. Control the finance and accounting practices and procedures of the location. Deliver financial reports in accordance with management and statutory requirements.
2. Undertaking of profitability analysis identifying product types, sectors, customers etc. that are profitable/not profitable with view to guiding selling behaviors and investment decisions within the business.
3. Monitor revenue, expenditure and working capital to ensure the attainment of financial objectives.
4. Responsible for setup operational, financial, HR and administrative policies and procedures.
5. Prepare Annual Budget, Rolling Forecasts (ROFO), monthly forecast and various management reports; Monitor implementation of those actions to ensure the achievement of Company objectives (sales, GM, EBIT) and in particular the successful realization of the ROFO, annual business plan and Budget.
6. Participate in special project teams, and perform related project tasks as required
7. Ensure successful implementation and maintenance of appropriate management information systems.
8. Supervise and support the various IT, human resource functions and company administrative functions, which include recruiting, staffing, C&B programs, training and development, performance monitoring, employee counseling and office administration.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1. Bachelors Degree . accounting / finance /commerce
2. Minimum 12 years of experience and minimum 5 years of management experience
3. Strategic and general business skills.
4. Thorough understanding of the business, its markets and operations. Understanding of the capability of a wide range of technologies and its impact on the business.
5. Good knowledge in tax and accounting, especially in import and export function.
6. Strong analytical skills, finance and accounting knowledge.
7. Strong Microsoft Office Skills . particularly Excel, PowerPoint etc.
8. Strong verbal and presentation skills
9. Must have a flexible approach to work but be pragmatic to deal with.
