Position Description
Summary
Business Development-The Business Director is responsible to grow and expand the internal China CJSL/EJK business by developing new channels of distribution, product lines and brand value currently not being pursued. This would be a cross functional position leading Sales, Marketing, Product Management and New product Development (NPD).
Business Development also includes strategic planning, overseeing market research, business segment profitability and sustainability.
The Business Director would work closely with APSCO in developing Asia procurement strategies and goals for both internal China needs and domestic U.S. requirements.
Position Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Identify business opportunities in both existing and new markets. Conduct on-going consumer/customer research, product evaluation and competitive assessment within these markets. Develop Brand identity and value consistent with the strategies adopted to compete within these markets.
Directly responsible Sales and Marketing activities and ensuring that effective training and the necessary support materials and equipment are available. Participates in appropriate trade shows/conferences to improve market/application knowledge and industry presence.
Identify and maintain the necessary customer, market and competitive data bases.
Identify and maintain the necessary sales reports, forecasts, financial reports and product evaluations as required.
Oversee product management, and NPD
Develop compensation plans, sales goals, operating budgets, Key Performance Indicators(KPI's) and financial goals.
Fosters cooperation, professionalism and good communications within EJK and between CJSL, ClosetMaid and APSCO.
Research the e-Commerce market opportunity. Evaluate and develop a business strategy for this channel. Identify the resources needed to enter and successfully compete as well as quantify the opportunity.
Through pricing strategies, NPD, design improvements, cost reductions, productivity improvements and material sourcing expertise, meet financial goals and objectives.
Drive specific new application and product development activities in growth segments.
Quality Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed.
