Product Sourcing Manager(世界500强集团采购中心职位,负责成品五金件采购,组建自己的团队,向老外汇报)

JOB OVERVIEW:
. PURPOSE STATEMENT:
? Maximise group value by sourcing, developing and delivering innovative and exclusive products for the operating companies.
? Maintain, develop and train a team who are equipped to engage current and future challenges.
? Maintain effective working relationships with related internal stakeholders and actively contribute to ensure that the triangular teams between Sourcing, QA (and CSR) and SC execute according to expectation.
? Develop and maintain relationship with external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Research markets to source and develop new products and vendors for all DIY sector operating companies, ensuring customer requirements & brief are met.
? Take ownership for category 3 year planning and budgeting processes.
? Lead activity planning and reporting (regular updates and ad hoc requests).
? Manage and develop the Sourcing team including objective setting, performance management (regular 1:1 meetings, quarterly reviews and annual appraisal), training and development as well as recruitment.
? Ensure close cooperation between the Sourcing team and QA/SC teams from brief onwards
? Ensure smooth relations with customers, particularly taking responsibility for overseeing that buying trip arrangements meet expectations.
? Maximise value by achieving Group buying synergies across the product category, optimising the vendor base and using Group volumes wherever possible.
? Minimise the use of Far East agents by identifying direct factory /vendor sources of supply.
? Monitor, measure and develop the capabilities of the vendor base by developing and implementing vendor-specific strategies
? Benchmark market trends in Asia and Europe and attend key trade fairs to maximize awareness of sourcing requirements
? Ensure the team deliver negotiation of excellent cost prices for new briefs/products aiming to achieving at least 25% cost reduction against existing/alternative sources of supply (e.g. agents & importers)
? Instill the expectation (within the team and the vendor base) of negotiating cost price reductions of 5% per annum on existing ranged & repeat items. Limit or prevent cost price increase.
? Negotiate the most favorable buying terms and ensure all commercial agreements are clearly documented in VBAs.
? Ensure project CPAs are created, managed, communicated and maintained.
? In conjunction with the wider category team, ensure projects and orders are managed through to completion, achieving the agreed quality levels, delivered on-time and in the full quantities ordered, as per team KPIs.
? Deliver exceptional service to, and meet the needs of, all customers and stakeholders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
a) Work Experience
? 5 to 10 years in related industry, good understanding of European market requirements and trends, experience in working directly with Asian factories.
? At least 3 years management experience.
b) Skills
Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills PC skills such as MS words, excel, PowerPoint, a track record of project management and people development.
c) Educational Qualification
Degree holder or above
d) Industrial / Product Knowledge
Trading. DIY retailer buying office experience preferable. Showroom, Decorative and Bldg. Product knowledge.
Asian sourcing experience. DIY product knowledge an advantage
e) Languages
Fluent, both written and verbally, in English & Mandarin, plus Cantonese for South China postings. French and German is a definite advantage
f) Trait (e.g. decisive, flexible etc)
Responsible, decisive, leadership, communicative, presentable, commercial awareness.
