Job Output
This position is responsible for the sourcing and identification of raw materials of global flooring products and strategic sourcing for new vinyl plant in China.

This ownership includes:
l Global management of current Sourced Suppliers, insuring the products quality, cost and on-time delivery
l Expanding current supplier base to reduce risks and improve product portfolio
l Negotiating contracts / terms with the Sourced Suppliers
l Insuring suppliers meet Armstrong's environmental and sustainability requirements
l Working with suppliers to insure a steady flow of new product concepts that can be presented to the Product Management Teams
l Attending and participating in trade shows, industry product shows, etc. to insure that Armstrong is participating at the leading edge of new product innovation and introduction
l Integrating, understanding and anticipating the wants and needs of our Customers, Distributors and Sales organization
l Integrating and understanding the direction and recommendations coming from the AFP Product Styling & Design organization

Organizational Relationships
l This position will report directly to the Director, Global Sourcing and interfaces closely with:
l VP Product Management, Commercial
l VP Product Management, Residential Sheet / Tile
l Product Styling & Design Leadership
l Quality Assurance Leadership
l Supply Chain Leadership (logistics & purchasing)
l Customer Service Leadership
l China new plant project team

Development and execution of a Sourced Vendor / Product Managing System with Sourced Supplier Scorecards and regular updates on the New Product Pipeline
