QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

l Degree in Chemical Engineering, Science or Metallurgy



MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Commercial Responsibilities:

Ø Develop, implement and achieve the annual territory sales, Marginal Income and commercial expense plans (ANNUAL BUDGET) and provide input to the preparation of a three to five-year sales projection for the business segment (STRAP).

Ø Translate the territory sales budget, major project and business plans into a detailed sales strategy that identifies target customers and current account maintenance and growth strategies

Ø Work with Regional Sales Managers, Regional Technical Manager, Project Leaders, New Mines Development Manager and Global Marketing personnel to define and obtain resource and technical service requirements for the implementation of marketing programs, base business maintenance, and targeted growth opportunities, so as to ensure delivery of regional sales budgets

Ø Provide market intelligence, relevant call reports, resource assessment for project team trials and ideas for NPI activities. Communicate customer needs to assist in prioritizing global resources for project activity, fundamental research and technology development programs to meet the growth objectives of the business

Ø Ensure activities are rapidly planned and implemented to achieve sales targets, and make recommendations on corrective actions for ensuring territory margins are achieved to target levels.

Ø Provide trouble-shooting assistance to the customer so as to solve their commercial and technical problems, whilst ensuring Company obtains “preferred supplier” status.

? Sales Planning:

Ø Provide, by the first week of each month, an updated, realistic 18 month forecast of customer demand into the Voyager Collaborate (VC) forecasting system (Logility). Ensure price forecasts are maintained in the VC Pricing Tool.

Ø Ensure task/ownership is clear to achieve account management and technical service requirements in an optimum process fashion.

Ø Work with the Supply Chain Organization, the Customer Service Organisation and other local support functions, so as to assist them in meeting the needs of the business



BUSINESS/TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCES REQUIRED:

l 5 -10 years of proven high level sales experience in service and technology based industries.

l Proven experience in managing and growing a sales territory.

l Experience in developing and executing a sales strategy based on a strategic business plan consistent with overall corporate goals and objectives.

l Strong interpersonal skills.

l Demonstrated experience in solving commercial and technical problems at customers.
