Commodity manager- Plastics/Rubber/Package（世界500强美国公司，集团亚太区总部职位，要求有很强的corporate 跨部门协调能力）
Location: Shanghai
Title: Commodity manager- Plastics/Rubber/Package
Report to: Asia Corporate Commodity Director
? The position was designed to meet the highly expectation of Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation (QDCI) target for the whole group, through working closely with Global Plastic/Rubber/Package Commodity Director to develop and implement a Global Sourcing Strategy, centered in Asia.
Responsibilities:
? Sourcing out and identify and develop low cost and high quality suppliers throughout Asia to support cost reduction, quality improvement for Business Divisions internationally for plastic, rubber and package parts.
? Understand global commodity sourcing strategies for plastic and rubber in Asia and proactively take actions together with Global Plastic/rubber/Package commodity director and Business Unit sourcing leaders to meet quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation (QDCI)
? Manage suppliers, undertake quoting, commercial negotiation
? Assess supplier capabilities performance and make recommendations on supplier acceptability together with Project Manager and SQE.
? Be the key technical communication hub between Oversea team and local suppliers, need to provide technical language and business customs expertise and supports required to make sure projects move ahead smoothly.
Requirements:
? Bachelor degree of engineering or science, better major in polymer or plastic mold design, Engineering Master or MBA is plus.
? At least 5 years of working experience in plastic industry, includes at least 3 years working experience in technology, sourcing, or project managing experience for plastic commodity in a WOFE, rubber commodity is plus.
? Strong communication and negotiations skills with the ability to work effectively and independently.
? Good quality sense. Basic international trade knowledge
? Fluent written and oral English, Willing to do some extra job and traveling.
? Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and methods
