Introduction
DC Shanghai works with several warehouse management systems that steer operations in the Distribution Center. Warehouse Logistics Department must determine the most efficient way to use these systems and manage the warehouse in order to meet the demands of COMPANY stores that receive our deliveries. The system is strongly connected to other COMPANY supply chain systems such as the order system, article register and transport system. To be able to support the warehousing business in the most efficient way, we are looking for a Warehouse Logistics co-worker that can support the Warehouse Logistics Specialist.
Meanwhile this position will also act as backup to IT specialist by taking care, ordering and maintaining all IT equipment in the DC, including Office PC, IBM and NT servers, WAN, LAN, WLAN, telephone system and printers..
Responsibilities:
? Participate in the pre-study, mapping and High Bay BAT process in DC start up.
? Support the strategic development and local maintenance of the warehouse system.
? Continuously optimize the working procedure in the warehousing system.
? Make proposals for change requests on the warehouse system.
? Update, register and make efficiency tests by different solutions.
? Handle day to day problems in the set up of the warehousing system.
? Support to handle new releases and do education to users.
? Be responsible for Range related issues and No pick verification.
? Other ad hoc tasks assigned by the superior.
? Be able work in a team and cooperate with other functions in a polite and active manner.
? Obey company rules, standard operating procedures and policies.
As backup to IT specialist (around 30% of the total workload),
? Take care about all PC installations in the warehouse
? Maintain the LAN and wireless LAN in the building
? Secure the availability of the main servers (IBM and NT servers with cluster concept)
? Install and replace PCs and laptops
? Monitor daily system back up
? User support in windows XP and office applications
? Maintain the functioning of all printers.
? Negotiate with different IT equipment vendors
? Main contact point of all IT related equipments.
? Run the IT project for new warehouse establishment.
Requirements:
l Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information management, or Supply chain or other equivalent.
l 3 years logistics related experience, at least 1 to 2 years key users experience of Warehouse Management System.
l Good understanding of DC operations.
l Fluent in spoken and written English.
l Basic knowledge of network, database, and any reporting tool, BO is a plus.
? Experience in PC - Hardware
? Experience in Microsoft Office Application
? Knowledge about LAN, WAN and wireless networks
? Experience in handling wireless mobile terminals
? Knowledge about Unix RS 6000 and windows 2003
? Clear communicator.
? Ability to work independently and in a team.
