MAJOR TASKS PERFORMED BY THIS POSITION
A. Essential Functions: Performed by the incumbent as opposed to those functions performed through subordinates. These functions should represent those that must be accomplished by the incumbent only:
Essential Functions:
? Participate in a variety of recruitment activities so that the organization's recruitment process is efficient, effective and equitable;
? Prepare internal and external job advertisements, web postings, specifications for external recruitment agencies, job descriptions and other materials in accordance with the organization's recruitment standards and business needs so that potential job applicants have the information they need to decide whether, and how to, apply for a vacant position;
? Respond to enquiries from candidates, managers and external recruitment agencies about the organization's recruitment activities and about the status of job vacancies so that interested parties are kept informed without compromising the organization's standards of privacy and confidentiality;
? Contact candidates, arrange interview times and develop appropriate interview questions in collaboration with the hiring manager so that interviews are conducted efficiently and equitably;
? Interview, test, rank, check references, select candidates and provide feedback to unsuccessful candidates based on the job's pre-established selection criteria and the organization's recruitment policies;
? Prepare job offer materials in accordance with the agreed job specifications so that successful candidates have all the information they need to decide whether to accept the position;
? Represent the organization at job fairs and other recruitment venues so that potential candidates have an opportunity to learn about the organization and its recruitment activities;
? Conduct employee orientation/induction and introductory training;
? Organize and coordinate GFG L&D activities
? Other tasks as assigned;
B. Physical Activities/Capabilities Required to Perform the Essential Functions.
? Physical activities primarily consisting of sitting, walking or standing;
? Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication, listening and presentation skills;
? Ability to effectively operate a personal computer and telecommunications;
? Region travel of 5 percent; utilizing various forms of transportation including automobile, rail, and commercial airlines;
? Effective command of English and Mandarin language.
TECHNICAL, MANAGERIAL OR OTHER PROBLEMS The greatest challenges in the position, types of problems encountered:
? Effectively balancing the recruitment needs of the three business units;
? Effectively interacting and engaging the various hiring managers as required to achieve their respective recruitment needs and objectives;
DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY Types of problems this position has authority to resolve. Types that need to be referred to the supervisor for resolution or approval of the position's recommendation; authority position has for hire/fire, capital expenditure, purchasing materials, salary action, etc.; existence of policy/procedure governing the position:
Decision Making Authority:
? The effective screening of job candidates to ensure a qualified candidate pool is forwarded to management for their review;
CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE ORGANIZATION Identify significant contacts both with other organizational areas and outside...frequency and purpose, job related external organizations, etc.
? Internal: Business Unit Management and employee population on a daily basis.
? External: Recruiters, Head Hunters, professional and trade organizations, academic institutions, vendors and suppliers, etc.;
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES Identify the key end results of the position. Accountabilities are not activities or duties...They state what the job's activities are supposed to achieve/accomplish:
? Deliver effective and all encompassing recruitment services to the 3 Operating Divisions of the Global Finishes Group (Automotive Finishes, Product Finishes and Protective & Marine);
? Implement measures and process improvements to achieve the most effective recruitment process;
? Represent Company leadership with integrity and values;
