POSITION SUMMARY
The Pricing Manager - Industrial China is responsible for providing leadership, pricing strategy development, and pricing management deployment for the Industrial China Business Unit (120 M$ revenues). The Manager is also responsible for driving and implementing the pricing strategy for China and introducing pricing models across multiple product lines, markets, and segments within the -China Market

POSITION DESCRIPTION
  • Partner with Product Management ,the Global Pricing Team, Sales and Finance to develop and implement pricing strategies and models for product lines and market segments
  • Develop our current "cost plus" pricing approach to a "value based pricing" methodology
  • Develop a system to estimate and capture market prices for our key product lines
  • Simplify our current pricing process, minimize tactical process steps, automate as much as possible
  • Drive the adoption of the pricing strategy and models while ensuring the proper processes and tools are in place to support the implementation and monitoring of the Country pricing strategy
  • Lead a team of product pricing and agreement pricing analysts
  • Drives the process to review impact and effectiveness of pricing implementation with Product Management, Sales and Finance teams to ensure consistent execution. Recommend price strategy changes and drive implementation based on fact-based analysis. This includes monthly reporting and explanation of key pricing metrics and margin analytics.
  • Works with Product Management and other stakeholders to establish annual pricing plan, TAM analysis, tie pricing to business objectives, the establishment of pricing objectives and P&L views of pricing plans
  • Work with Product Management, Finance, Sales on pricing, programs, and competitive dynamics
  • Uses short and long term market and competitive insights to adopt and implement pricing strategies to optimize margins and revenue
  • Performs managerial responsibilities, including, but not limited to: making employment decisions, conducting appraisals, and developing and coaching direct reports

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree; Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Pricing Response time
  • Achievement of Revenue & Margin targets as a function of price actions and strategies
  • Reduction of Price and Margin Variability across assigned Product Lines
  • Reduction of Price and Margin Leakage for assigned Product Lines
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree; Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics
  • 5-7 Years of applicable experience
  • Strong communication skills at the Executive level
  • Experience in developing and managing life cycle pricing strategies and segmentation strategies
  • Able to work with cross-functional teams
  • Six Sigma experience or process improvement experience
  • Strong PC abilities; expert Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications is required
  • Green Belt Certification is a plus
  • Experience with SAP and Advanced Pricing Software also a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills and capability
  • Executive presence...must possess confidence and assertiveness
  • Critical and concise strategic thinker who can manage the details
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and influence change within global and matrix organization
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Mentoring and coaching skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple functions and strong ability to build relationships and credibility quickly across functions and levels within the unit
  • Successful track record in leading pricing or financial teams
