The successful candidate will be self-motivated experienced individual with a background in physical or biological sciences, who will be responsible for developing customer relationships, attending trade shows and seminars, participating in product demonstrations, giving product presentations, and managing all aspects of the sales process. This position will be based in Shanghai China.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the distribution process such as Service level, on time deliveries and
delivery frequency is operated in compliance company international standards and meets customers' requirements - Ensure all the distribution equipment and facilities are properly maintained
- Administer the transportation module of the company system
- Supervise the optimization of route scheduling to achieve workload balancing, mileage saving and better resources allocation
- Seek continuous process, quality and cost improvements by researching and developing new operational practice and technological advancement
- Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, and meeting with individual staff members
- Monitor the performance of LDD transportation vendors
- Plan and approve operational revenues and expenses
- Ensure timely, high quality and cost effective distribution of right product items with right quantity to the right place to meet customer needs and requirements
- Deploy fleet and manpower resources to achieve pre-set performance and operational targets
- Ensure the distribution process is operated in compliance with all the internal standard operating procedures and suggest improvement measures
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Strong leadership and people management skills, good team player
- Independent, good interpersonal, communication, presentation and supervisory skills
- Customer and result oriented
- Good command of MS office applications, transportation routing software preferred
- Language: English and Chinese
- 5 years distribution service or logistics experience, of which 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in leading a transport fleet and technical experience in vehicles
- Bachelor degree in Transport Management, Logistics Management, Business Administration, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Science or related disciplines
- Hold a driving license
