Our Client is a world leader of connectivity solution manufacturer across the world.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Reporting to a Global Product Manager, this Product Manager will have responsibility for multiple heat shrink tubing product lines within the business unit of Appliances. This role is responsible for the overall product strategy and business leadership for assigned product lines in order to meet sales, profit and other financial goals within the region, which is aligned to the global targets. This set of products is sold across different industries and require strong distribution channel partnership.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Establish/maintain regional product line strategy & business plan in accordance with the global product strategy
2. Responsible for profitability of assigned product lines
3. Promote products with different sales teams to drive sales and margin growth
4. Develop and maintain pricing strategy
5. Consult with manufacturing on capacity plans
6. Develop capital investment plans and justification
7. Thorough understanding of product cost; drive cost reduction
8. Knowledge of customers and industries served
9. Knowledge of competition
10. Identify new product opportunities working with development engineering
11. Drive the execution of the family strategy by working with Sales, Marketing, Development and Product Life Cycle Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.
12. Maintain sales forecast for assigned product lines and support the S & OP process
13. Working with the marketing communications team, develop product promotion plans
14. Global coordination for given product lines with regional PMs in Americas and Asia
15. Provide product training with OEM customers and distributors as required
16. Be recognized as the leader of the product lines assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1. 3 years of Product management experience is a must
2. Experience with related products is a plus
3. Technical degree in engineering or material science is preferred
4. Advanced degree (MBA or MS in engineering or science) is a plus
5. Experience with distribution channels and setting up distribution strategies
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong English skills is a must
7. Strong business acumen (P&L, understanding costs, strategy & business planning)
8. Analytical skills
9. Self starter; able to work under a remote structure and a heavily matrix org
10. Demonstrated ability as product line leader
11. Demonstrated ability as problem solver in fast paced environment
12. Willingness to travel
13. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows software (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
14. Experience working with teams in other regions and cultures
15. Displays strong leadership and business acumen skills
