Summary:
Manage and coach a team of CSI analysts (category management) with responsibility for regional and national key accounts. Provide analysis and direction for home office working closely with Customer Marketing, Customer Planning and other home office management team members. Develops and directs the execution of analytical work which generates sales producing information, direction, and solutions. Maintains CSI analysts accountability for growing topline sales and share in a profit oriented manner. Utilizes the performance management process to manage and motivate a high performance CSI team. Leads customer planning and the execution of pre-event planning, post promotional analysis, Plan o grams, and other analysis, reporting, and presentations. Achieves account penetration to the Key decision maker level at customers.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Achieves sales and share targets for assigned customers by managing and coaching a team of CSI analysts. Facilitates communication and action between the CSI team(s) and the NKA, RKA team(s). Communicates program feedback to the home office. Develops the analytical frameworks by which the KAM’s and CSI analysts generate selling stories.
2. Support the customer marketing, customer planning, and home office management team with analysis and insights to deliver market trends, customer analysis, insights, direction, and solutions for the company’s go to market strategy and direction.
3. Utilize the performance management process to coach and develop team members throughout the year, through the effective use of the performance appraisal process and performance records. Handle administrative duties: Weekly T&E expense reports, Performance management, yearly input to budgeting process.
4. Utilize the Targeted Selection and Succession process to fill openings in a timely manner. Prepare and maintain bench strength to contribute to the Hershey Foods talent pool.
Education, knowledge, skills and abilities
1. Bachelor’s Degree in business or technical field or MBA
2. Minimum of 4 years progressive professional experience with:
3+ yrs Consumer product category management & strong analytical experience; experience in sales / customer marketing a plus
