POSITION TITLE

Quality Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Our client is the global leader in the manufacture of automotive harnesses;
For their recently set up plant in Pinghu, they are looking for a Quality Manager with valuable managerial experience in automotive sectors.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading professionally and disciplinarily the Quality department of the plant;
  • Achieving the quality standards requested by the client;
  • Formal representative of the client in the plant, representing his interests and assuming responsibility for the quality of the end products;
  • Solving all the complaints from the client;
  • Monitoring the quality indicators, taking measures in case of deviations and supervising the putting into practice of the established measures;
  • Implementing, maintaining and developing continuously in the plant the quality management system according to the reference standards (ISO TS 16949/2000 and ISO 14001) and the quality politics of the company;
  • Keeping to the budget allotted to the Quality department;
  • Ensuring the knowledge and supervising the observance of the quality norms and work procedures and instructions that regulate the activity in the Quality department;
  • Knowing and supervising the application of the prescriptions of the Internal Regulations and of the Collective Work Contract;
  • Ensuring the work discipline of the personnel in his subordination;
  • Management of the human resources and of the materials in his department;
  • Continuous professional education of the personnel in his subordination.
  • Leads, coordinates and controls the activity of the entire personnel of the Quality department;
  • Makes the planning of the personnel layout for his department, checks and analyses the status of the personnel layout and takes the necessary measures;
  • Ensures the evaluation and solving of all the complaints received from the clients, processes the internal complaints (quality indicators) and the external complaints (ppm & nppm);
  • Ensures the analysis of the quality faults / measures for eliminating the faults / check up of the efficiency of the taken measures;
  • Coordinates the reaction process in case of appearance of faults in the production process;
  • Monitors the statistic analysis of the internal and external faults;
  • Supervises the production process in order to make sure that the client's requests are met;
  • Ensures and coordinates the control of incoming goods (WE-Wareneingang), the testing of the primary samples, the supervision of the measuring means - metrology;
  • Draws up periodical reports about the activity of the department for his superiors (plant management)
  • Ensures the elaboration and the supervision of the audit programs, plans the internal audits (internal process audit, internal product audit, internal dispatch audit);
  • Prepares the visits / audits from the client or from the different authorized institutions and takes partin their realization;
  • Establishes the measures resulted from the audits reports and supervises their putting into practice;
  • Ensures the processing of the complaints sent to the suppliers as well as also the qualitative evaluation of the suppliers;
  • Decides the stopping of the production, depending on the seriousness of the signaled quality faults;
  • Analyses the internal / external problems and complaints together with the FBTeam;
  • Takes part daily in the operational meeting with the management of the plant;
  • Ensures the transmission of the information within the Quality department as well as also to the other departments in the plant concerning the quality problems;
  • Takes part in the selection process of the new staff employees for his department;
  • Ensures the training of the new personnel under his subordination;
  • Identifies the training needs of the personnel under his subordination and in collaboration with the
  • Training department ensures their professional education;
  • Does the periodical evaluations for the personnel under his subordination and revises the individual targets for each of them;
  • Calculates and estimates the budget for investments and the personnel budget for the next year;
  • Optimizes continuously the processes in his department in order to reduce the costs;
  • Collaborates with other plants for solving quality problems of the plant;
  • Informs his direct superior whenever there occur problems that exceed his personal solving competence;
  • Fulfills any other tasks that are necessary for the good running of the activities within the department.
  • Knows and observes the law stipulations in the domain of work security and health, as well as the applicable measures, having the following attributions and responsibilities:
  • Instructs the employees at their work place and does also the periodical instruction for the directly subordinated personnel;
  • Supervises and is responsible for the subordinates who do not observe the stipulations in the domain of of work security and health, as well as in the domain of fire prevention;
  • Checks, controls the observance of the internal instructions, work instructions and whether the periodica instruction was done by his employees who have such attributions;
  • Knows and observes the law stipulations in the domain of emergency situations, as well as the applicable measures, having the following attributions and responsibilities:
  • Organizes, coordinates and controls, according to the law stipulations in act the activities for protection against fire from his department;
  • Organizes the instruction of all the personnel in his subordination regarding the PSI norms;
  • Organizes the systematic control regarding the observance of the PSI norms and the presence of the means for putting out the fire in his department;

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook);
  • Knowledge of English language - advanced level; Knowledge of German language is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of electrical harnesses manufacture is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of the quality norms, work procedures and instructions that regulate the activity of the
  • Quality and Production departments, after training period;
  • Very good knowledge of the internal quality requests concerning the harness and the component parts, according to the K&S norms, TLB, Faults Catalogue and PLP;
  • Knowledge of the quality standards specific to systems ISO 9001, ISO 14001 si ISO/TS16949;
  • Good statistics knowledge (QRK, Pareto, capability study);
  • Reading the technical drawings (component part drawing, client drawing, harness drawing, assembly board drawing);
  • Very good knowledge of the client's norms regarding the quality of the harness and of the component parts such as VW Product Audit for harnesses, VW 751 47, BMW GS 95006 and other related norms;
  • Basic knowledge about using the measuring means;
  • Understanding the processes in cases of modifications, primary sample, giving approval and product audit;
  • Knowing the clients requests concerning the above mentioned aspects (PPAP, VDA 2, APQP, PLP);
  • Knowledge of the quality methods (Ishikawa, 5 W Analysis, 8 D report, FMEA);
  • Knowledge of the quality indicators;
  • Good knowledge of the processes and documentations specific to the client (for ex. Sample approval, complaints, technical modifications, product audit etc.);
  • Knowledge of the prescriptions of the Internal Regulations and of the Collective Work Contract.
