To originate new commercial banking relationships with focus on the local corporate sectors but also selectively target foreign invested companies domiciled in the branch’s catchment areas
Job responsibilities:
- To provide sales coverage to corporate clients for trade or capital account-related foreign exchange business
- To deepen the relationship with a portfolio of existing clients with an aim to increasing commercial banking penetration with strong focus on trade finance, cash management products and working capital loans.
- To work with relationship managers in acquiring new customers to generate new revenue and volume. Also coordinte with relationship managers in developing and maintaining existing customers to increase our share of wallet.
- To formulate business strategies and plans to boosting and developing Commercial Banking relationships and customers to achieve business targets
- To contribute to the achievement of synergy among different Group offices and entities and boost our balance sheet and share of wallet for customers
- Manages a designated corporate portfolio; identifies business opportunities amongst existing customers and sources new prospects through networking with customers
- To work and supervise CAs to complete credit proposals and reviews within reasonable turnaround time. Proper follow up with Risk is also needed in respect of addressing all further enquiries and additional input as needed.
- Plans and carries out regular business / sales oriented customer calling programs; manages and prepares call reports subsequent to each visit as an on-going monitoring process
- To plan visit to facility clients at acceptable frequencies to update business development of the clients as required by the management and the Risk as well as to identify and react to early warning signals on deterioration of counterparty risk and operational risks.
- Work with relevant Client BU stakeholders (mainly Local Corporate) to distribute the Cash/Trade Management products; support the client BUs to translate the qualified opportunities into a win mandate.
- Work with the relevant stakeholders and product management team to identify market requirements and opportunities; translate opportunities into business requirements
- Work with product management to identify STP opportunities and enhancement and formulate the required SLA and measure the actual performance
- To work with Compliance and Operations to ensure all KYC is done properly and escalate timely for management approval on all exceptions
- Maintain the required MIS to track the team performance on a regular/ad hoc basis.
- To maximize profits whilst up keeping good credit quality of the portfolio.
- To provide outstanding client service support for Commercial Banking customers across all sectors, liaising with CRM and other department
- Collaborate with Credit Risk Management Department to take proactive control measures to ensure credit quality.
Job Requirement:
- University graduates with 3 – 5 years relevant banking experience
- Strong interpersonal, oral/written communication and numerical skills
- Good team player
- Decisive;quickly moves issues to resolution;Willing to provide top quality service to clients and assist clients to solve problems
- Experience in dealing with foreign exchange or trade related area is a plus
- Strong Cash/Trade Management knowledge with strong sales orientation
- Fluent in Chinese and English
