Primary Responsibilities:
- Market intelligence (50-70%):
? Manage customer satisfaction survey result for Region Pacific, and establish related process
? Coordinate survey roll-out between countries and the headquarter
? Conduct analysis for survey results together with headquarter team, manage the communication, and help country team to deep-dive on the result
? Drive the respective action plans in related countries
? Translate business challenges and opportunities into proposition for data analysis
? Gather data on competitors and analyze their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution
? Develop and refine occasion bases modeling to help business departments better understand our customers and industry statistics, trends, policy & regulations
? Analyze business data and trend to alert management the business environment and segmental customers behavioral changes germane to business strategy
? Gather data from relevant reporting tools and databases sanitize and consolidate as needed for purposes of reporting to management and relevant business leaders on the performance of the business
? Develop and prepare regular and ad-hoc management reports (e.g. project opportunity lists) to facilitate the company's business decision making process. Prepare reports of findings, illustrate data graphically and translate complex findings into executive summary
- Project support (20-30%):
? Support or lead data warehouse and datamarts development projects to enhance management information quality and productivity
? Design and implement marketing intelligence repository, devise procedures for collecting data (such as marketing study, surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires), establish multi-generation improvement mechanism
- Ad-hoc activities (10-20%):
? Take on ad-hoc assignments for reporting, process management, etc.
Qualifications Required:
- Analytical and strategic competencies:
? Proven ability to rigorously analyze industries, markets, technologies, customer segments and competition, well-structured and logical conclusions
? Ability to build business cases based on a through understating of future trends and developments
- Tool competencies:
? Have a good understanding of databases/ datawarehouses, financial applications and proficient with Excel e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables
? SAP experience is a plus
? Deep intellectual curiosity and superior analytical skills with data mining and data modeling experience
- Communication and presentation skills:
? Ability to structure, present and define business proposals and ideas concisely and persuasively in English
? Ability to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders, build on high level of trust, and positively influence people to commitment and actions
- Entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen:
? Ability to work independently with limited resources and to initiate clear courses of action
? Ability to deliver excellent results under time pressure
? 'Hands-on' with 'getting the work done' mentality/approach.
- Other competences:
? BS or BA degree in marketing, statistics, economics or relevant discipline
? Experienced in project management, research, database architecture, data mining would be preferred
? 2-3 years of relevant working experience in business intelligence, customer analysis, customer segmentation, MIS or related fields
? Experience in consulting firm or financial institute is a plus
? Fluency on both English and Mandarin
