CLIENT SUMMARY

Our Client is a world leader of electronics product manufacturer.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Driven by market requirements, the Senior Product Manager is responsible to plan, develop and market assigned product lines with the objective of achieving product management goals defined in China and Asia business plan within the supervision of PM Manager or other senior management.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Product planning:

  • Develop and execute marketing plan to systematically collect market intelligence information related to product lines assigned.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis with coverage to, but not limited to, market, customer, competition, technology, and products related to product lines assigned.
  • Be a technical expert on technology and products to meet needs both internally and externally and promote innovation.
  • Develop an integrated strategic product line roadmap, aligned with regional and global business development strategy and coordinated with other key functions, to drive the achievement of regional business plan.
  • Initiate, develop, and implement market or product or system processes/strategies to drive different initiatives required by business development plan.
  • Support regional or global business development initiatives by providing relevant market intelligence information, conduction required analysis, and driving for implementations.
  • Regularly review, update, and manage product portfolio based on guidelines required by regional and/or global business process, including S&OP, and plan.

Product Development:

  • Based on product line roadmap, drive product development with R&D and other key functions to ensure accomplishment defined by time, budget, quality, resources, and other key factors.
  • Conduct routine product development including but not limited to:
    • Develop, review, and manage product cost, pricing, and gross margin based on market dynamics and business requirements
    • Review and approve required product updates related to cost, pricing, and other factors defined by the system
    • Coordinate with regional or global resources and efforts for the latest technology and/or product updates to drive product management improvements
    • Proficiently deploy and use required system and processes, e.g. FIS and S&OP, to actively manage assigned product lines.

Product Marketing:

  • Develop and drive product launch activities, including, but not limited to, product material preparation, technology and product promotion event preparation, Marcom, supply chain preparation, under a well defined process coordinated with other functions.
  • Develop and implement product marketing plan that drives sales growth by geography, industry, customer, product, pricing, and other strategic goals.
  • Support sales team, from pre-sales to post-sales, to promote technology and products, review & approve bidding documents, customer & distributor training etc.
  • Own and drive product line sales growth with needed adjustment of strategies and/or tactics that help goal achievement.

Continuous Improvement and Support:

  • Support key activities requested by other functions, e.g. READ, Quality, Operation etc, to encourage positive behavior change
  • Identify business or process inefficiencies and drive for improvement with positive attitude and approach
  • Own and drive processes and tasks that are not clearly defined in term of roles & responsibilities.

People development:

  • Constantly improve technical and marketing skills to meet business requirements
  • Develop measurable plans to coach and train junior PMs, according to management requirements, for improvement
  • Develop technical training plan to train internal colleagues
  • Be a role model to motivate junior PMs for improvement on behavior, mindset, and skills required by business and management team
  • Advise, support, and execute solutions to issues raised outside his own product lines


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related
  • 5+ years working experience in PM role with energy industry experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with MV/LV cable accessories, and other electrical components product portfolio technically and from market side as well
  • Communication skills, positive attitude toward taking responsibilities and solving problems;
  • Willingness to accept feedback from management team and others and act on positively,
  • Strategic thinking mindset and drive for results
  • Good written and spoken English skills
