POSITION PURPOSE
Our client is a leading multinational company in the FMCG industry. To support the rapid business growth and organizational growth, the company is looking for a Brand Manager or Senior Brand Manager for their expanding business in China.
The position is to ensure development and execution of a strong, competitive and consistent marketing strategy for the assigned brand of baby care product in China to support achievement of the company's Baby China business plan.
SCOPE OF THE ROLE
· Participate in the development of the marketing strategy for the assigned brand in China
· Develop and implement the annual marketing plan
· Lead development and execution of launches, campaigns and promotional activities
· Manage the brand assortment including pricing
· Manage A&P expenditure
· Ensure compliance with profitability targets
POSITION MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DUTIES
· Participate and contribute to the development of the assigned brand's marketing strategy covering strategic objectives for Baby China (in cooperation with Baby Category Director / other related brand's Marketing Manager)
· Develop the annual marketing plan and define KPI's for each activity
· Manage creative development and production processes for campaigns and communication materials (ATL/BTL) in accordance with the brand's marketing strategy and brand positioning
· Manage execution of brand activities including launches, campaigns and promotional activities
· Provide brand guidance and support to trade marketing
· Monitor and evaluate all brand activities in relation to KPI's. Conduct Pre / Post Promotional Analysis and provide recommendations
· Manage assortment SKU's, product specifications and packaging
· Establish and manage the marketing A&P budget
· Monitor P&L and suggest corrective actions to reach profit targets (incl. seeking new opportunities)
· Coordinate product upgrades and product launches with R&D and manufacturing teams
· Oversee competitor and price tracking
· Conduct marketing analysis of Chinese regions/channels. Provide sales force with supporting and relevant marketing data.
· Propose and initiate research (consumer, customer & retail data) to collect insights and define new opportunities.
· Provide leadership and expertise in working across functional fields. Ensure the sharing of "best practice" between departments and within the company
· Prepare quarterly Rolling Forecast in line with annual targets and sales FC
EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
· University degree in marketing or equivalent with minimum 5 year's experience from FMCG company in China, preferably in the baby care area.;
· Good overall business understanding;
· Open and positive attitude and ready to take own initiatives.
TECHNICAL/SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Functional knowledge
· Relevant expertise in consumer marketing and branding
· Profound understanding of Chinese consumer market.
Business expertise
· Good understanding of P&L components
Leadership
· Strong leadership skills and experience from working with external partners
Problem solving
· Capability to take own initiative in problem solving
Communication skills
· Good in communication, both written and verbally (to conduct presentation)
· Good level of English knowledge.
