职位描述

Our client is a leading multinational company of personal hygiene products in the FMCG industry. In view of their rapid growth and even more aggressive ambitions in the Asia Pacific Region, our client is looking to recruit a product safety specialist for their global Innovation Center in Shanghai.

1. Overview

As part of building our client's new Global Hygiene Category organization, they are searching for Product Intelligence Specialists for their Product Intelligence team.

The Global Hygiene Category leads the client's hygiene brand portfolio and delivers brand development and innovation for their three business areas, Incontinence Care, Consumer Goods, and Professional Hygiene.

The role of the Product Intelligence team is to provide the organization with information to support discovery and development of potential new areas and strategic product areas/extensions cross all categories to guide and support category and development decisions.

2. Scope of the role

The Product Intelligence Specialist is required to support the preparation of consolidated views from the consideration of product / material information such as, IP and product understandings including specifications (own and others), competitor product claims, performance boundaries, and laboratory data. The Product Intelligence Specialist is responsible to support, and where appropriate, harmonize product intelligence activities across both Tissue and Personal Care R&D. The main part of Product Intelligence team will be located in the company's headquarters. This new role will be located in Shanghai.

3. Main accountabilities and responsibilities

· Provides analysis and conclusions on anticipated future competitor, product offers as input to patent strategy, innovation strategy and technology strategy for both tissue and personal care;
· Provide analysis and conclusions on anticipated material, regulatory and societal trends that will impact competitor innovation or offers and patent strategy, innovation strategy and technology strategy for both tissue and personal care;
· Understands internal customer requirements and develops appropriate and timely services and information;
· Establishes and maintains appropriate networks to increase information scope, relevance and data quality, reduce duplications and to leverage opportunities to support service delivery;
· Supports and achieves agreed performance and delivery standards
· Utilizes identified appropriate data management and consolidation services to support quality outcomes and conclusions. Support and maintains reliable and valid procedures and processes;
· Supports goals of relevant teams in their responsibilities to support innovation development and agreed projects such as quality and cost save projects;
· Maintains and supports alignment with Brand/Marketing teams and Business Intelligence teams and other relevant teams to accelerate outcomes and to appropriately increase knowledge standards within relevant parties;
· Communicates outcomes/deliverables in a customer friendly manner to ensure full and effective utilization within the business;

4. Experience and background requirements

· University Degree or equivalent within relevant practice;
· A proven track record of success either in a global category organization or a commercial organization with close interaction with customers and suppliers;
· International work orientation or experience;
· Drive to maintain deadlines and deliver to schedules and activity demands.

5. Qualifications

· Information gathering and analysis expertise, including attention to detail;
· Ability to connect and analyze information, draw possible conclusions and communicate in effective manner;
· Capable to engage others both for the collection and dissemination of information and importantly to consider analyzed outcomes in business considerations;
· Ability to work through information complexity;
· Predict future possibilities with possibility to influence innovation direction;
· High competence, both written and oral, in English;
· Ability to express complex matters in a meaningful simplified manner.
