Generally responsible for performing all aspects for complete design of packaging assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods.
Main areas of Responsibility:


Develop preliminary and finished designs
Be knowledgeable of packaging specifications as well as all information required for material purchase, fabrication and construction.
Develop project plans based on planning meetings, rough sketches, and vendor/client drawings
Review and understand the latest information available regarding packaging drawings and layouts.
Perform drafting
Recognize and communicate project scope, specifications and design changes promptly.
Coordinate between clients and other disciplines working on the project
Provide input on project proposals


Required Skills技能要求:

This position requires 2 to 4 years of relevant industrial experience in technical drafting and design.
Familiarity with utilization of packaging design and drafting standards.
Ability to produce drawings for concrete and structural packaging
Familiarity with specifications details of construction, materials and equipment.
Working knowledge of design software, either AutoCAD, Adobe ILLUSTRATOR or CORELDRAW
Ability to create accurate packaging construction documents from the information found on vendor drawings.
Knowledge and understanding of schedule constraints and information requirements for the production of deliverables.
Ability to accurately estimate completion of assigned tasks.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
