Manufacturing Excellence Engineer - Lean - VF Asia Ltd., Zhuhai

The Manufacturing Excellence Engineer is responsible for actively providing guidance, oversight and technical expertise to ensure operational excellence is achieved using LEAN concepts and practice with our factory partners.

The key responsibilities of the role are:
-Work closely with the Lean Director to collaborate and communicate with the site leadership in the factory to set and clarify VF's expectations
-Providing advice and guidance to promote "best in class" manufacturing processes in alignment to VF's quality standards, goals, and initiatives.
-Lead continual development in the manufacturing model, design and future state factory layout.
-Facilitate top-down & bottom-up continuous improvement activities.
-Influence management to drive a fast learning, adaptive culture and influence the factory staff to contribute to Lean manufacturing efforts
-Proactively teaching and promoting the use of LEAN including value stream mapping and just in time.

Desired Skills & Experience:
-Ideally must possess a B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
-Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar position in a domestic or international footwear/apparel company
-Proven experience in influencing, coaching and consulting with site leadership to drive implementation of LEAN production systems initiatives;
-Proven track record in leading and monitoring product and process improvements, ensuring quality and productivity issues are resolved by eliminating the root cause
-Strong English skills mandatory and Mandarin would be a bonus
