Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, specify and facilitate implementation of TBR tire Controlled Road tests
Conduct fleet evaluations to meet Customer requirements and advise right product to right service with proper working parameters
Follow up market developments/changes regarding all parameters
Evaluate competitor performances under real working conditions
Check, analyze and evaluate customer claim tires according to needs
Define, analyze and advise product improvement topics
Participate and advise as needed on new tire product development activities
Support all problem solving teams activities
Study customer needs and future expectations / market trends
Document all field activities and studies in the form of detailed technical reports, presentations and management updates.


Required Education and/or Experience
University Degree (4-year) in Engineering, Technology or Science – required
Minimum of 5-years of relevant Field experience in China – required
Functional knowledge of tire design or manufacturing processes – preferred
Required Skills & Abilities
Multi-lingual: Native Mandarin with good English skills in reading, writing & speaking
Good communication and technical documentation skills.
Proficiency with design of experiment methods with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Functional understanding of quality systems and concepts and Customer satisfaction
Must be detail oriented, self-starting, and must be able to complete projects with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with standard PC applications including: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other office programs
Have driving license for passenger vehicle.



Reporting Relationships
The TBR Fleet Engineer reports directly to the Manager of the TBR Tire Engineering Group
Working Conditions
Primary work location will be based out of the Asian Technical Center, located in Shanghai, China.
This work is performed in an office environment, but will mostly require working in the market, customer fleet area and warehouse facilities.
Travel is necessary and should be expected, including overnight stays. This includes, main land of China and/or abroad.
