JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for building, developing and leading the finance, and office management operations
JOB DUTIES:
In the accounting function, the candidate is responsible for the accurate and timely accounting records and month end close of the China operations and supporting the commercial operations (sales, marketing, buy-sell entity activity).
· Responsible for ongoing interaction with the U.S. finance team on accounting processes and policies, and month end close process
· Handle the daily accounting transactions: customer invoicing and collections, inventory purchasing and shipments, sales and marketing expenses, payroll, expense reports
· Work with U.S. accounting team on month end close process: expense accruals, account analysis and reconciliation, providing explanations for certain activity
· Partner with sales and marketing staff on developing the infrastructure, processes to build profitable sales activity for Greater China (PRC and may include other countries in S.E. Asia)
· Responsible for preparation and filing of required forms and reports with Chinese government agencies and bureaus
· Coordinate statutory audit and annual tax return with outside CPA firm in China
· Ensure China’s compliance with internal control policies and processes.
In the office management area, the candidate will manage administrative support staff on issues such as facilities operations and management of administrative staff (receptionist, admin assistants, drivers)
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or related fields. Masters degree and CPA certification are a plus
· The candidate shall have between 8 to 15 years of experience in the areas of Finance and administration with a MNC.
· Has built and led high performing G&A teams
· Solid knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Power Point) and ERP systems
· Strong partnering, communication and teamwork skills are essential
· Fluency in written and spoken Business English and Mandarin is required
TYPE OF PEOPLE WHO SUCCEED AT OUR COMPANY:
· Candidate should have a results-oriented focus, with good communication and teamwork skills.
· The ability to be flexible and work in an environment that lacks structure is important.
· Ability to implement process is a key responsibility for this role. This person will take a leadership role and work with local management to develop key policies, procedures and train other staff.
· Ability to work independently with infrequent or limited direction and supervision
· Attention to detail, high level of accuracy are important. While at the same time long range vision and cross functional knowledge in order to manage various activities, conflicting goals, and build out infrastructure that scales with the company’s growth
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Prefer a CPA or Chartered Accountant certification or other relevant professional qualifications
· Experience with setting up and operating PC-based accounting software and ERP systems is required
· Familiarity with PRC GAAP and US GAAP is preferred
