Job Description：

Senior Footwear Designer 3-6 years design experience.

Artengo, Oxylane’s racket sports brand is looking for a highly talented senior footwear designer to join its China based design & development teams (Fujian province & partly Shanghaï).

As a senior footwear designer you will work under the responsibility of Artengo’s local Technical Director and be the exclusive link with the European based footwear design teams to ensure the highest design quality for the Artengo shoe ranges (Tennis, Badminton, Table Tennis, Padel).

Your mission is twofold.

Follow up & development role: Based in Artengo’s racket sports footwear development center, you will be the liaison with the European design teams. Starting from the validated design files, your role will be to prototype, develop, accelerate & improve the footwear development process.

Your creative role will be to create the designs of the worldwide Badminton footwear ranges starting from the local product manager’s brief to the follow-up at Artengo’s development center. To do so you will join the Shanghaï based team during the creative phases to ensure a close collaboration with the product manager and access all the relevant information gathered by the local design teams.

With the support of those local design teams and through a structured market observation, you will be responsible for identifying the relevant local & global market trends and creatively translate them on the future Badminton footwear collections.

You will participate in the creation and the respect of Artengo’s design language and product identity with the help of the adapted tools and the European design team and you will have the opportunity to travel to the France based Headquarters for yearly trainings & strategic meetings.

Requirements

You are passionate by racket sports. You have a strong design & footwear culture and are passionate by your final customer.

You have 3-6 years successful footwear design experience and a very clear knowledge of the footwear production process (factory in situ follow-up)

Self-starting and self-management abilities are critical.

You have top notch research, problem solving, sketching, 2D illustrating, 3D modeling/rendering, prototyping skills (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop are a minimum 3D pattern sofwares like Crispin are a plus).

Strong and well structured oral communication skills (fluency in English is mandatory).
