SUMMARY OVERVIEW
*Position could be based in Shanghai, Huangpu or Wuxi.*
The Global Mobility Partner will be responsible for working with Jabil stakeholders, external vendors and the assignee leading core mobility processes throughout the various phases of an assignment.
Jabil Stakeholders: Management, Human Resources, Finance, Payroll (not an exhaustive list).
External Vendors: Immigration Firms, Tax Firms, Relocation Firms.
Assignee: Term for employee who is on an Assignment.
Core Mobility Processes: Relocation, Immigration, Tax, Assignment Policy Management/Application
Assignment Phases: Initiation & Approval, Pre-Departure, Post-Arrival, On-Going, Extension, Repatriation, Termination, Resignation, Localization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides guidance and is a subject matter expert for the assignee and Jabil stakeholders regarding assignment policy, practice and compliance.
Responsible for day to day assignment management utilizing Equus Assignment Pro – Jabil's assignment management system including requirements for each assignment phase.
Interfaces directly with the assignee and Jabil stakeholders, vendors to resolve complex assignment related issues (relocation, immigration, tax, and assignment practice/policy).
May coordinate direct and/or with support of the Mobility Team's Tax Manager tax compliance services for assignees.
Facilitates tax processes assisting the tax firm with related questions and internal finance/payroll professionals relative to assignee tax equalization and settlement
Point of contact for payroll, finance, human resources and outside vendors on compensation accumulation.
Maintains assignment records, documentation within Equus and the Mobility Teams Shared Folder for assignment activities. Support the Corporate Relocation Program
Knows mobility compliance requirements and/or seeks support to understand compliance requirements raising any issues to the Director of Global Mobility for timely resolution.
Work with local HR Teams and the external vendor to manage assignment and/or employee relocations as required.
Act as immigration contact person for Jabil employees in the region being the day to day point of contact for HR queries on visa and immigration related queries
Processes invoicing from vendors ensuring accurate costs submitting the Director of Global Mobility for approval..
Provides monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reporting and/or presentations regarding assignee headcount, costs and policies and practice.
Ensures all exceptions to assignment policy and practice is adequately documented, approved and stored in Equus.
Develops and maintains site specific on-boarding materials.
Long term, the position will be responsible for providing similar support for local plus hires working with HR teams to develop appropriate long term packages and supporting HR as required with relocation, immigration, and tax support.
Stays abreast of immigration, tax, relocation and assignment policy and practice on the countries in which Jabil operates.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, HRIS systems, and email software programs. Prior experience with Google Mail, Google Documents and us of Assignment Software Systems a plus.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, combined with excellent interpersonal skills
Required to read, write and speak English with average proficiency along with at least one other language.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to prioritize and work within stringent deadlines
Must be a subject matter expert in immigration, relocation, tax and assignment management practices in at least one region (Americas, Asia, or Europe) with Global experience highly preferred.
Detail oriented and able to multi-task
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree required in human resources, accounting, business or related field required. Masters degree preferred.
Five (5) years of experience in Human Resources required with a minimum of three years of work related experience in mobility, immigration, tax and relocation required.
