Senior Design Manager – Metal Tooling

职责
选定的候选人将领导东莞的新团队，并将成为中国办事处与美国总部之间的主要接口。

The selected candidate will provide leadership to the new team in Dongguan and will be the primary interface between China office and USA HQ.
This will include managing and leading a small team of engineers focused on quotations, negotiating pricing and responding to RFQ’s from the USA in a very timely, thorough and detailed way. He/She will manage the staff and coordinate the simulation, layout, and tool design with multiple outsource suppliers of complex tools made in China.

- Utilizing AUTOFORM to create simulations, layout and tool design for manufacturing components for the automotive industry.
- Review product design and build requirements to determine tooling concepts, design options, testing plans, fixtures and specifications.
- In addition to large complex tools, develop designs for Fixtures, Jigs and QA Gauges
- Estimate costs as well as evaluate resource requirements and materials required for a high-quality tool.
- Manage the sourcing, quoting and procurement of large tools.
- Continuously look for the best solutions to quickly and efficiently setup the entire tooling process, make process modifications and evaluate different process layouts to select the best one.
- Focus on high-volume and low-mix to low-volume and high-mix car components production challenges.
- Costing and Budgetary Management.



要求
- 机械或相关工程研究生/研究生学位
- 至少7-10 年的设计和仿真经验。

Requirements

- Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Mechanical, or related, Engineering
- At least 7-10 years of design and simulation experience.
- Prior experience in leading design teams for metal stamping Tooling, Fixtures, Jigs and QA Gauges
- Exposure to Automotive Sheet Metal Components. Experienced with and able to implement state of the art simulations, layout and tools design for large (up to 7.5 M) tools for the automotive industry.
- Prior hands-on die making experience will be preferred
- Knowledge of TS 16949, ISO 9001-2000, ISO 9002, IATF 16949:2016, AEC-Q100, AEC-Q200, ANSI
- Must be able to design in and navigate any of the major design platforms – AUTOFORM, Solidworks, NX, and Catia.
- Project Management Skills. Experienced with providing timelines in Excel and or Project Gant chart formats
- Costing and Budgetary Management Skills. Extensive and strong negotiating skills
- Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
