Role Purpose
To work as part of the Group Technical Department, producing accurate, innovative CAD drawings for our Global Refractory Business, turning initial designs into detailed technical drawings both in 2D and 3D
Key Responsibilities
Design
· Create, adapt, and modify high quality drawings and plans to meet customer requirements based on Company’s drawing standards.
· Produce accurate production drawings for Company and third-party suppliers based on Company’s drawing standards.
· Produce installation and manufacturing documentation.
· Interpret and understand design intent to transpose into accurate design concepts.
Technical Expertise
· Provide technical drawing expertise to our sales and commercial teams.
· Continuously investigate and undertake analysis to determine ways of improving existing designs or components.
· Continuously seek to identify optimization opportunities driving quality, efficiency, and cost savings
Customer Support
· Assist as required in ad hoc projects.
System Maintenance
· Manage Company drawing data to ensure continuity across the Group.
· Maintain customer drawing database ensuring all designs are easily accessible for future reference.
· Assist with the upgrade of the AutoCAD system to enable automatic generation of ‘bill of materials.
General Support & Compliance
· Adhere to Company Health and Safety and Security Policies
· Comply with ISO 9001 2015 standards and Company policies
· Adhere to and implement ISO standards
· Undertake any other reasonable request made by senior management.
Personal Skills and Experience:
· Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
· Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced setting
· Proven team player skills with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision;
· Demonstrated commitment to compliance and safe working practices
· Effective problem - solving and mediation skills with a proven ability to cope with conflict, stress, and crisis situations.
Education:
· English Level：CET-6
· Bachelor’s degree or above
· Basic technical education (HTL, technical College)
· Ideally University/College graduate in Metallurgy; Material Sciences; Ceramics Mechanical or Electrical engineering or related discipline
IT Skills
· Advanced technical CAD Knowledge using AutoCAD and Inventor)
· Advanced computer skills (i.e., MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
